Abortion is a very public dispute among everyone in our society because everyone has different opinions in our world on weather abortions should be legal or illegal and honestly in my opinion I believe it should be illegal in every state and country in the world. In the United States it is legal to abort a baby up until the day of birth. An abortion is the ending of pregnancy before birth which results in the death of an embryo or a fetus. Many people consider abortion as cruel as murder. Although some might say abortion is justifiable, others believe that no one but God has the right to take someone's life. Supporters of abortion, however, do not consider an unborn child a person who must be protected. With an issue like abortion, there …show more content…
A study carried out by the World Health Organization showed that “most of the unsafe abortions occur in countries where abortion is illegal. In countries like the Republic of Ireland, abortion is illegal, in the United States of America; abortion is legal while, in Canada, it can be performed upon demand, or consent”. On the contrary ife supporters assume that fetuses are human, and they are subjected to a lot of pain in the event of an abortion. It is wrong to assume that a fetus is not a human being since it does not talk, or is not a social entity. life supporters also argue that a fetus is a potential life and any threat to it is breaking a right to life that is in almost all constitutions across the world. Choice supporters posit that abortion is an act of unjust discrimination to the unborn and that this acts deprives them to the access to a valuable future. So why have an abortion when they want to live life just like you and everyone else in this world. Its cruel and I believe it doesn't matter how young you are you need to take care of that baby just like your mom did you. It’s not the baby’s fault you felt like being grown and doing the nasty and didn’t use protection like we’re supposed to otherwise we wouldn't have to worry about so many teenagers having abortions all because they feel like they’re grown when they're really not at

Argument Rebuttal

...Article Rebuttal on Pro Choice BCOM 275 August 5, 2013 Michael Frank The controversial topic that this paper will discuss is the right to pro choice. Pro choice being the woman’s right to decide abortion as an alternative to pregnancy. After reading the article “Pro-Life vs Pro-Choice: Annihilating the Abortion Argument” by Hank Hanegraaff, in which uses the acronym (A-B-O-R-T-I-O-N) to discuss the reasons why abortion should not be legal. I will provide a rebuttal to this article as to why I do not agree with these views and I will discuss how pro-choice is a necessary option for all women. In Hank Hanegraaff’s article he discusses his views on pro life. He goes on to state his reasons why pro –life is much more important than pro-choice. He states that pro-choice advocates attack people rather than issues facing abortion and pro-life advocates. To further prove his point of view he uses biblical references, as he understands, to state that abortion is nothing more than killing another human being, in which the Bible states “Thou shall not kill”. He uses that abortion is a violation of the sixth amendment, as if abortion is against the law. Hank also states that when abortion is the result of pregnancy from rape or incest, that one should not compound the situation by aborting the unwanted child. He states that “two wrongs, do not make it right” (Hanegraaff, 2009). He also states that a study said that .06 percent of pregnancies are from rape or incest (Hanegraaff,...

Abortion

...Lavon Russell Joannah Bruscell English 120 - Advanced Composition 08 January 2015 Abstract The purpose of this research paper is to highlight the benefits of allowing the freedom of choice on abortion to continue. The main debate is whether abortion is moral or immoral. One of the great things about being human is to have individual thoughts and opinions. That is something that will never change. In this paper, I will first discuss what abortion is as well as its origin. With the use of various sources, I will showcase statistics that lend support to how I came to the determination that abortion should remain legal. These statistics will include abortion rates in the United States vs. the rest of the world, how income or poverty levels affect abortion, and individual frequency of abortion. Abortion is arguably the most highly debated topic in our society today. Also, despite there being many social issues that divide our country, abortion remains to be the most divisive to date. Abortion is the pre-birth termination of a fetus at different stages of pregnancy before life is self-sustainable while still in the mother’s womb. The backbone of the United States has and will always be that all people are created equally and that every person has “certain unalienable rights by their Creator”. Declaration of Independence has been the defense certain rights such as free speech, religion, the right to bear arms, the right to a trial, etc., but it is not limited to...

DNA fingerprinting can be done through many different ways. Some ways are through blood samples from a vein or heel, saliva samples, skin samples, or hair samples. The purpose of DNA fingerprinting is to help link family members together, find things that cause diseases, to help aid in crime scene investigations, and to identify the deceased. Legalized Abortion

...Research Paper on legalized abortion In 1973 the Supreme Court ruled on a landmark case, Roe v. Wade. The case involved (Roe) a single pregnant woman who wished to obtain an abortion in the State of Texas. She brought a class action challenging the constitutionality of the Texas criminal abortion laws. The law makes it criminal for all abortions except when medically advised for the purpose of saving the life of the mother. Jane Roe sought an abortion because she was unmarried and pregnant and felt she should be able to receive a legal abortion by a licensed physician. The court’s decision has created a controversy in the United States that continues today. There is no other ruling that divides so many Americans by religious beliefs, family values, society as a whole and politics as the abortion ruling. The ruling came about based on numerous arguments revolving around the history of abortion laws, whether abortion should be protected under the right to privacy and whether the decision of abortion should be between the mother and the attending physician. The court ruled that the right to personal privacy includes the abortion decision. The court found that an abortion statute that forbids all abortions except in the case of a life saving procedure on behalf of the mother is unconstitutional based upon the right to privacy. However, it does allow for regulation of abortion when the statute is narrowly tailored to uphold a compelling state interest, such as the health...

Abortion in the United States

...are for abortion, and those who are against. There is neutrality that extends between the two, with those who are one the fence depending on circumstantial situations. In this paper our group of four peers debate the topic, and base a conclusion on weather women in the United States should have the right to abortion, based on the arguments themselves. Today, the reference of for and against, is better known as pro-choice and pro-life. Pro choice (abortions) refer to the political and ethical view that a woman should have complete right over her fertility, and that she should have the freedom to decide whether she wants to continue or terminate her pregnancy (Bose, 2012). According to pro-life advocates, women who demand complete control of their body should also shoulder the responsibility of preventing unwanted pregnancy, and that the result of an unplanned pregnancy, rape or incest, aborting the embryo is equivalent to punishing the unborn child (Bose, 2012). The position that Valora has in this debate, is that it is the woman’s choice to decide whether or not to have an abortion, but also to understand that it is their responsibility to protect against unwanted pregnancies by using every available means of contraceptive, not including using abortion as if it were a contraceptive, as some pro-life advocates would claim. When evaluating risk, one should take in account of women’s feelings after an abortion. Feelings of depression and anxiety is something woman feel prior...

Death Penalty

...Penalty My “Big Idea” topic is on the death penalty. My thesis statement is: Capital punishment is controversial and people have many different feelings about it but I believe that the death penalty is beneficial to society and the public and that the United States should continue to use capital punishment. When doing research for an essay paper it is important to use reputable sources and avoid unreliable or opinionated web sites or articles, such as Wikipedia and Answers.com. Areas or items I will use to do research for my death penalty paper will be the U.S. Department of Justice, Amnesty International, CNN news reports and articles, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Pro-death Penalty web site. The Kaplan library has a Homeland Security Digital Library database which might contain some information that I can use and the Newspaper Source database is bound to have some pertinent information. The Kaplan library also has an abundance of articles and reports as well as a database with news and current topics I can explore for information. To get an idea of some material readily available in the Kaplan library database I did a keyword search on “pro death penalty” articles and three periodicals came up that I am going to review and they are: Top Ten Death Penalty Myths: The Politics of Crime Control; Debating the Death Penalty: Should America Have Capital Punishment; and Capital Punishment: A Century of Discontinuous Debate.
