The Progressive Era was a period where the United States moved from nearly zero technology to a technology boom, otherwise known as the Industrial Age. The Great Depression followed the Progressive Era because, in my opinion, like today’s economic problems, too many people were extended opportunities via credit that they did not previously have, and were not given the education that would teach them how to use it or how quickly it would change from a blessing to a burden.
