PROJECT TITLE
Integrated Nigeria Prisoners Management Systems
INTRODUCTION
Prisoner identification is an integral part of any prison system, but with so many prisoners lodged in the Nigeria Prisons, the authorities found it increasingly difficult to keep tab on the prisoners, so necessary for an efficient jail system.
The primary goal of prison management is to incapacitate inmates while providing rehabilitation and programs; however the goal of maintaining control within the prison system takes precedence over rehabilitation and treatment (Craig 2004, 92S).
The activities of the Nigeria Prison’s services in terms of records keeping has for a long time been a huge problem to the service as there are no proper facilities in place to ensure that they are able to store and retrieve information on prisoners very quickly. Prison system models provide conceptual clarity regarding the complex workings of the prison system as well as the strains on and dilemmas of each system (Steele and Jacobs 1975).
Record keeping are still done using big old files which have to be shelved once that file is full and then replaced with another and so when the need comes to get information on prisoner’s, they will have to look through the old files according to the dates they assume the information could have been stored and then go through all files that were recorded during that period until the file is found.
This very tiring and time consuming activity usually leaves them with no other option but to record the prisoner details again in a new file to avoid going through so much stress but…...

...Managerial Applications of Information Technology – MIS535 May 27, 2013 Proposal Subject This proposal discusses the mismanagement of inventory that causes the major business problem.  Resolving the issue requires better management procedures for controlling inventory with efficient and effective use of the existing resources.  Implementation of Just in Time System will eliminate inventory waste, production delays, and extra cost of storage and disposal. Resolving these kinds of inventory management challenges will lead to positive competitiveness and will ultimately result in higher profit.   Business problem Ford Company wants to produce a new model known as 2013 Ford Explorer. It has set it a target of producing 1,100 cars each day for the first eight weeks. However, it faces several constraints that threaten to prevent it from attaining this target. The cost of materials that it would incur is higher due to the huge amount of raw materials required in the production of these cars. It also requires a lot of time to assemble these cars, and this threatened the company’s objective of meeting its production target (Sulivan, 2005). It previously received its supplies from various suppliers who had to manufacture all the components required for the production of this model, load them into containers and later schedule them for delivery. This process of inventory management model is not efficient, since employees do most of the handling of materials and thus the...

Benefits An IVR is a starting point for callers that direct callers to the appropriate resources to answer calls in the most efficient manner (Beres, 2013). By enhancing and creating a more personalized IVR system for NexTech, the company can create higher satisfaction for the customer, therefore creating higher customer loyalty, higher customer intimacy, higher customer retention, and higher savings for the company. If the company can scale down the average length of each phone call, even by a second, it can save them hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars a year (Roos, 2013). High Level Approach There are several considerations to look at when implementing a new IVR. The new IVR that will be implemented will need to be cost effective, easy to use for customer satisfaction, easy to implement, and easily upgraded as the company grows. ...Project Proposal Thesis: Social media connects the world and empowers us to make better decisions about our lives, however the interactions with our phones, documenting rather than experiencing, and the increasing reduction of face-to-face interactions is ultimately leading the global social society down an anti-social path. Issue Summary The belief that social media is making people anti-social is becoming a popular discussion. How else can we explain the trends we are starting to see as a society when entering any and all public environments? When you go into public these days people are no longer as approachable as they may have once been. People are starting to look at casual conversation with distraught. It is becoming more common to find individuals who are willing to talk online rather than in person these days. The previous definition of the classroom, marketplace, coffeehouse and nightclub are now being shaped and hosted by the internet. Rather than being in these classic social environments people are inclined to be updated and involved socially online even when in social settings provided the recent years of mobile improvement and service. Even scenarios that seem less socially weighted such as phone calls are now being considered awkward and weird. A quick phone call just to say hi or to catch up is looked at with extreme distraught causing people to think: “Why didn’t you just text me instead?” People are now missing out on social opportunities that are...

...Summary of the project This project concentrates on the development of marketing software of a company that will deal with selling of bottled water. The software will create a website where water bottling companies can advertise and sell their products. One of the concerns for companies within the water packaging sector is that they are unable to carry out a robust marketing initiative that would bolster more sales. The proceeds from increased sales from the selling of this bottled water will be channeled to supporting communities in the developing nations that have water scarcity. There are certain areas within developing nations where water points are situated in distant areas. Most of these communities trek for several kilometers in order to obtain water for domestic purposes and for watering their animals. The highly vulnerable members in this society are the school going children who tend to supplement their parents in the search for water. Most of these students participate in the search for water to ensure that they fetch enough water that could meet the needs of the family. This project aims at using the money from the sales of the bottled water to drill watering points among these communities. As an aspiring computer engineer, this project is related to my profession since it concentrates on ensuring that there is a higher population of children within an education system among these societies. This initiative will be instrumental in the achievement of global...
