Article 1|| Heart Doctor Explains Cholesterol Levels
In this artic Dr. Suzanne Steinbaumle (Steinbaum, 2016) explains what cholesterol is, how it affects a female body and the differences between “good” and “bad” cholesterol. Cholesterol comes from two sources: your body and food. Your liver and other cells in your body make about 75 percent of blood cholesterol. The other 25 percent comes from the foods you eat. Cholesterol is only found in animal products. Understanding how cholesterol affects the female body and how females can regulate their good cholesterol and counteract the bad cholesterol will allow doctors to understand the differences between patients that could benefit from using the new drug. The new cholesterol guidelines advise doctors to consider a patient’s overall health in treatment decisions. And that’s why one of the biggest changes in the cholesterol guidelines could lead to more people taking cholesterol-lowering drugs called statins (Steinbaum, 2016).

Article 2|| High Cholesterol
In this article Dr. Andrew Weil explains the desirable levels of cholesterol, HDL or protective cholesterol, LDL or bad cholesterol and the triglyceride levels:
Desirable levels of total cholesterol are 200 mg per deciliter of blood or less; levels between 200 mg/dL and 239 mg/dL are considered borderline high; 240 mg/dL or higher is considered high cholesterol and raises your risk of heart disease to twice what it would be if your total cholesterol were 200 mg/dL or lower (Weil, 2012)
A desirable level of heart protective HDL cholesterol is 60 mg/dL or higher; levels below 40 mg/dL for men and less than 50 mg/dL for women increase the risk of heart disease. According to the American Heart Association, the mean level of HDL cholesterol for American adults age 20 and older is 54.3 mg/dL (Weil, 2012)
A desirable level of LDL ("bad") cholesterol is less than 100...

...Business Research Project QNT/561 May 17, 2016 Business Research Project Airline X was started in 1967 and over the last 49 years it has grown and made a name for itself by having the lowest fares in the market. Airline X refuses to charge their customers the same sort of fees as the other airlines, not charging for bags, Airline X also does not charge to modify your flight if your travel itinerary has been changed, this has created a faithful customer base. In 2014, Airline X was able to increase their flights beyond the neighboring states that the Federal Government had limited them to for 34 years. In the first quarter of 2015 Airline X increased their passenger traffic by 22 percent and decreased their fares by 14 percent. Airline X currently carries more passengers domestically than any other Airlines (Southwest Airlines, n.d.). Airline X has employed Team C to explore the connection between the independent (fuel and oil prices) and dependent (the amount of seats available) variables for Airline X. The premise is that if Airline X is filling the planes they already have, does Airline X need to look at purchasing more planes to increase the amount of seats available and to replace the outdated or older jets in their fleet. To accomplish this Team C must develop a research question. The management team for Airline X has decided that the research question should be: If the fuel and oil prices do not continue in a downward trend will it still be feasible for......

Business Research Project

...Business Research Project: Riordan Manufacturing QNT/561 Abstract Riordan Manufacturing is subsidiary of Riordan Industries, Inc., which is a leading global manufacturer of plastic containers, parts, and electrical fans (Apollo Group Inc., 2013). The company attempts to maintain adequate quantities of completed electrical fan units in their stock in order to meet the customer demand, however, its on-time deliveries average only 93% due to an insufficient number of completed fan units. Riordan stocks all the necessary raw materials needed to assemble the electrical fans readily available in their manufacturing plant except for the fan motors, which are fulfilled by an outside supplier. Therefore, Riordan Management is asking why meeting the demand is inconsistent with the current fan motor supplier as manifested by their 93% on-time delivery and claim the company's on-time delivery to increase with new a supplier. In this business research project, Team C will investigate and examine the validity of Riordan Management's claim. Formulation of the Research Problem Managerial decision-making is very crucial in the long-term success and failure of organizations, which ultimately influences a great deal of individuals in both microeconomic and macroeconomic senses. ...Phoenix Recording's Research Report Kenneth Drake, Elizabeth Navarro, Olive Myers-Rose QNT/561 September 7, 2015 Heidi Carty, Ph. D. Phoenix Recording's Research Report Part 1: Formulating the Research Problem The Research Problem Phoenix Recording is a record label for various genres of music. The country music genre is fairly small and represents both male and female country artists. The Vice President noticed that the overall profits for the country artists are extremely low. He has decided to cut the production of music budget for one of the artist. The Vice President has hired an exterior team to provide viable information that would determine the reason for reducing any particular artist’s production budget. Part of the exterior team’s research will involve analyzing YouTube’s view rates for each artist’s hit song for the current year. The independent variable in the research is the gender of the artist and the dependent variable is the number of YouTube views. The team will take a random sample of male and female artists. The team realizes that the variables of male versus female country artists may give the record label an overall view for that genre of music videos being viewed. Research Question Is the difference in the number of YouTube views (DV) based on the gender of the artists (IV)? Hypotheses H0: The difference in YouTube views (DV) is not based on the gender of the artist (IV). H1: The difference in YouTube......

...Business Research Methods: Part III Quinetta Coleman, Shonte Brockman, Leroy Ducasse, Courtney Misterek, Elliott Nelson, LaMonica Smiley QNT 561/Applied Business Research and Statistics Dr. Charlene Dunfee February 10, 2011 Abstract The research study was interested in determining whether extending the regular season of the National Football League (NFL) would be agreeable to NFL players and fans. The problem exists because the NFL owners are pushing for a season extension, but also want to consider how this will impact the players. Surveys were distributed to collect data for this important topic. It was concluded that neither fans nor players want to extend the season, and it is hopeful that these results will be provided and taken into consideration before the owners make a final decision. More of the Same Game Every year professional football keeps lovers of the game on edge, as fans watch a 16-game regular-season in anticipation of the big finale, the Super Bowl Championship.  The football schedule consists of four pre-season games and 16 regular-season games.  Roger S. Goodell, Commissioner of the NFL, has proposed shortening the pre-season by two games, thereby extending the regular season from 16 games to 18. The proposal by the commissioner has caused controversy between the NFL and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA). With an extended season, probabilities exist that players will sustain more injuries and share less of the......

...ork2012 - 2013 Catalog A Message from the President “Sullivan University is truly a unique and student success focused institution.” I have shared that statement with numerous groups and it simply summarizes my basic philosophy of what Sullivan is all about. When I say that Sullivan is “student success focused,” I feel as President that I owe a definition of this statement to all who are considering Sullivan University. First, Sullivan is unique among institutions of higher education with its innovative, career-first curriculum. You can earn a career diploma or certificate in a year or less and then accept employment while still being able to complete your associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree by attending during the day, evenings, weekends, or online. Business and industry do not expand or hire new employees only in May or June each year. Yet most institutions of higher education operate on a nine-month school year with almost everyone graduating in May. We remained focused on your success and education, and continue to offer our students the opportunity to begin classes or to graduate four times a year with our flexible, year-round full-time schedule of classes. If you really want to attend a school where your needs (your real needs) come first, consider Sullivan University. I believe we can help you exceed your expectations. Since words cannot fully describe the atmosphere at Sullivan University, please accept my personal invitation to visit and......
