Comparison of Macbeth to “Quicksand”
Sec1. When a person lies they think that the lie will just go away, the person thinks there will be no negative consequences, but what they seem to forget is that where there is a cause there is an effect. Your parents tell you to do your homework, but you lie to them by telling them that you already did it, or you don’t have homework. This can have some negative effect not only on your grades but also on the relationship between you and your parents. When the school calls your parents about your grades, and your parents find out that you haven’t been doing your homework, they will not just be disappointed in you, but you will also lose their trust. Dishonesty can cause a person to feel “uncertainty” when dealing with others, its can cause you to lose trust in yourself and with your friends. Most high School student understands that cheating is bad, but when it comes to a point where they are pressured, the students loses their heads and are able to convince themselves that cheating is the only way out.
