Hal’s Woodworking SWOT analysis
Strengths | Weaknesses | * Established strong reputation in their area * Dedication to customer service and service and satisfaction * Strong community connections * Web-ready | * No national brand reputation * Lower budget than larger chains * Slim chances of regaining expenses spent on website development * Lumber department crash |
Opportunities | Threats | * Power tool training with hands on guides * Capitalize on regional knowledge and prowess * Partnership with larger chains and brand names * Offer bundle plans on tools to reduce sale price | * Competition from manufactures * Competition with larger hardware organization |

Hal’s Woodworking seems like the best route to take to achieve success at the store. I believe the best plan of action would be for them to invest in the software to connect the inventory of Hal’s Woodworking to the internet. Doing this would make the items at the store accessible to a lot more people than are in the current consumer-base. Some I the steps I could recommend to make this possible include: * Instant user access to inventory to determine availability of products for store pickup or delivery * Use of visual aids to sell products (Picture and video advertisement). * Consumer review on purchase products and transactions * Ability to instantly chat with customer service personnel to make product sale easier. * Access to video recordings from in-store product and tool training sessions * Showcase contact information (email, phone) as well as after-hour contact means * Advertise sales on bundle plans and discounts as well as employment opportunities. * Focus more attention on specialty products
Hal’s Woodworking, although an idea with great potential and possibilities, is not without its weaknesses and threats. Some of Hal’s

The Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living

...living. Therefore, Socrates claimed that for a human being to live a worthy life, everyone should question, examine and re-examine the values of their lives daily (Kamtekar, 154). This paper explores the meaning and the significance of the Socrates claim that “the unexamined life is not worth living” focusing on the Apology and Euthyphro. The words, ‘the unexamined life is not worth living’ by Socrates comes from Plato’s Apology when Socrates is sentenced to death after being accused of corrupting the youth and impiety (Ahbel-Rappe & Rachana, 229). Patterson posits that apology is one historical account of Socrates’ defense during his trial (Patterson, 16), and these words appear at the end of the Apology when Socrates is going through possible punishments for charges against him. Socrates utters these words when the jury has already found him guilty and has to decide on what kind of punishment to impose on him (Ahbel-Rappe & Rachana, 229), which was agreed to be a death sentence. After he has been sentenced to death, he is told to choose an alternative punishment like life sentence or exile but he declines the offer claiming that giving up philosophy would be disobedient to god and that “no greater good can happen to a man than to discuss human excellence every day and the other...

Apart from journalists and publishers whose careers are completely dependent on the print media and its popularity among the masses, advertisers also try to cash in on this medium. ...Analysis of regulation fairness and administrative costs for the IRS Innocent Spouse Relief. ACCT 525 Current Issues in Accounting. Instructor: Professor Blaise Bender 04.12.2015 * Introduction When couples get married and they have to file a tax return every year, in the majority of cases they would have to file a joint return. This joint signed return makes the couple equally responsible for the tax liability and any charges that could arise from a mistake made in the return, and it does not matter if the couple is already divorced at the time that the IRS asks for the tax due. I believe it is highly unfair for a married person or even a recently divorced one to be exposed to tax liabilities and fines in certain cases where the spouse or former spouse engaged in activities with negative financial impacts or makes unilateral decisions in lying on the tax returns or simply makes blatant mistakes in the return without the consent or the previous knowledge of the other person in the marriage. It is very common for one of the spouses to entirely trust the other one with the home finances and even give that other person the necessary signature to file a married joint tax return without really even paying attention to the contents of the return. This trust is given as an act of love in the relationship without thinking of the consequences or impacts this could bring later. This joint signed return makes the couple equally responsible for the tax liability and any charges...

They are in existence earlier than 1881 and each one of them has a significant cultural and social significance associated with it. Water being the lifeline of communities and the prime determinant of the sustainability, settlements in the past were located in the proximity of easily accessible water resources. With the technological advancement in the field of centralized water supply systems, settlements are no longer confined to smaller clusters around water bodies. Hence over a period of time due to the demands of urbanisation, development has slowly crept up to the banks of these lakes thereby converting the once sprawling water bodies in to mere water tanks which are prone to degradation through development pressure, eutrophication and solid waste disposal Recently, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC)...

The Search for Self and Space by Indian Dalit Joseph Macwan and African American Richard Wright

...The Search for Self and Space by Indian Dalit Joseph Macwan and African American Richard Wright Vaseemahmed G Qureshi Assistant Professor, Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Chandkheda A B S T R A C T The subjugation of Dalits in India and Blacks in America is the result of slavery imposed on them in the name of castism in India and racism in America. Writers from these marginalized groups express their revolt against slavery through words. This presentation focuses on one black and one Dalit novel as a manifestation of the quest for self and space. Joseph Macwan comes forward as a prophet of Dalits’ welfare in Gujarat with his Angaliyat (1987) which is a representation of the emerging genre of the Dalit novel. It criticizes systems of internal colonization that exist within the Hindu caste system. Today, Dalits are both asserting their identity and challenging a society that had earlier excluded them, by writing about their lives themselves. Through the protagonist Teeha, the novel succeeds in demystifying ‘dalitness’ and redefining the real freedom of his fellow people. Richard Wright is one of the most acclaimed African American authors of the twentieth century. His Outsider (1953) depicts racial discrimination and the quest for identity. He creates a compelling story with his protagonist Cross Damon, a man of superior intellect who craves for peace and searches for his identity. In this quest, Cross Damon attempts to escape his past and start anew in a...

...P RAMCHANDRA RAO VS STATE OF KARNATAKA SUBMITTED BY K.SAI SHARAVAN KUMAR B.L HONS FIRST YEAR LEGAL METHODS INTRODUCTION There are altogether too many prisoners waiting trial in Indian prisons. As per the latest comprehensive statistics2 available on prisons in India, there are 1,93,627 undertrial prisoners as against 63,975 convicts constituting 71.2% of the total prison population in India. The range varies from a low of 12.1% in Tamil Nadu to a maximum of 98.7% in Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The Constitution of India, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Standard Minimum Rules for Treatment of Prisoners clearly specify the standards of treatment with prisoners on trial. SPECIFIC PROBLEMS FACED BY UNDERTRIAL PRISONERS AND THEIR REASONS – Their Right to Speedy Trial as recognised by the Supreme Court in Hussainara Khatoon [I] vs. Home Secretary, Bihar7 is violated due to protracted delays.
