I’ve been infatuated with someone more times than I can count.  Almost every time I thought I was so in love with that person.  I was so wrong every time.  I thought that those feelings had to mean something more than just a strong physical attraction, but they weren’t.  A few times I got my heart broken because I was trying to make more out of it than what was there and other times I would wake up and realize that there were absolutely no feelings left.  The mind and the heart are both very strong and this is where the confusion with infatuation begins.  When we’re alone we’re eager to find love and sometimes this may cloud the real situation. Infatuation is often a problem when you’re already “happily” taken.  When your significant other makes you angry it’s easy to find comfort with someone else.  You become infatuated with this person because they tell you everything you want to hear.  My  mom always taught me that the grass isn’t any greener on the other side and as an adult I finally understand what it means.  Relationships are always good in the beginning, but as they progress the newness wears off and that’s when things become difficult.  This is when you have to choose to either work on the relationship or get out.
