2. The adverb ‘’increasingly’’ means that more and more people are opting for this country, their number is increasing.
3. The journalist is comparing Facebook to a new virtual and perfect life, where we can take up with old friends and hear from them, and also only see the good and great side of life.
4. Today people introduce themselves saying: ‘’so, are you on Facebook?’’ (l.5-6)
5. The three elements in the text which explain why Facebook is so popular are the fact that Facebook became a very good ice breaker. He also makes re encounters with old and lost friends possible and easier. Finally he drives us trough a new ‘’wonderful’’ world, a perfect world.
6. In the sentence "Hey, it is real life, lady!’’, the word ‘’it’’ refers to Facebook.
7. The journalist is afraid that Facebook and social networks take precedence over our real lives, and become our only life.
8. According to the journalist Mr Zuckerberg should give to Facebook the warning: ‘’Not to be taken as an alternative to life – imperfections, disappointments, ugliness, and all’’. This means that Mark Zuckerberg should be warning Facebook users about the dangers of addiction to this social network, and showing them that it will never replace real life.
