Morning Prep

Lobby
Turn on lights, tidy up front entry and place newspaper on front desk. Straighten chairs and magazines and make sure décor and awards are dust free. Refill candy dishes with chocolates and hard candies.
Keep conference rooms off reception tidy. Lower and straighten chairs, mats and coasters neat, wipe and clean white boards and ipads.

Office Space All of the glass offices next to Accounts Payable need to be checked daily to ensure there is no writing on the white boards and trash is picked up, chairs are straightened, lowered and mats and coasters neat.

Kitchen

Arrive 15 min early to prep and restock kitchen. Right fridge must me filled with drinks which are locked in lower cabinets in island. Drinks are to be lined up neatly and separated by type. Snack containers on counters refilled with bulk snacks located in bottom cabinets. Restock plastic cups located in bottom cabinet.

Restock coffee, teas, sweeteners, located in top cabinet above coffee. Restock both 16 and 20 oz. coffee cups, as well as stirrer and wrapped straws.

Keep plates, bowls, utensils, and paper towels stocked. Refill hand soap and dish soap. Dishwasher should be run once a week and items put away.

All boxes to be left in service elevator to keep area free of clutter. Straighten all chairs at bar and seating area. Keep all water jugs put away in cabinets.

Coffee Room

Coffee room is located off Bakken Conference room and is to be used only for those specific meetings and guests in the lobby. Keep small refrigerator stocked with drinks and bottle water located in locked cabinets.

Keep door to coffee room closed.

Visitors
All guest will be greeted and asked to wait in lobby. Call the individual to the lobby to greet their guest. If meeting with “C” level executive call their assistant.

...eception Theory and Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons) Of all the literary critical theories yet discussed, I find reception theory by far the most intelligent and rewarding. After all, where does literature become literature, where does it "happen" so to speak, if not in the mind of the reader? Without the reader, literature is inky blobs on paper. This correlates to Berkeley's solipsistic analogy of a tree falling in the woods. Without a listener does it make a sound? Well, technically, it emanates vibrations, but only an ear will interpret those vibrations as sound. Thus with literature. The mind of the reader, operating on the text with it's various literary and extra-textual codes, makes it literature. In the case of Les Liaisons Dangereuses, reception theory is not only helpful, it is positively essential to any sort of literary discussion of the novel. Considerations of authorial intent are clearly to no avail, in that, due to the epistolary format, no such intent can be gleaned from the text. Try as we might to construct some sort of original meaning in the mind of the author, we find at last that the meanings we come up with have been supplied by ourselves. Laclos is like the hand of the puppeteer: we never see it, although we know that it is controlling the whole show. There were peaceful subtle sounds of violins; viola and cello music filling the air while guests were arriving for the start of the 1920 themed reception. The atmosphere we felt on arrival to our friend’s reception was like being in the movie set of the “Great Gatsby.” The Tudor Revival/Cotswold Cottage that stood three stories in the background was perfect for the set of this extraordinary reception party. Upon arrival my first perception of the ambiance was that I just had walked back into a roaring 20’s reception party.
