Red Raspberry- Rubus. Red Raspberry bushes, perennials, are easy to grow and can bear fruit for many years. Although originally grown in cooler climates, newer varieties allow for these bushes to grow in a variety of climate. There are two types of Red Raspberry bushes, summer-fruiting raspberries, which produce one crop per summer season, in summertime and ever-bearing raspberries, which can produce a crop during fall and during the following summer. Pruning is required annually to allow for new fruit baring branches to grow every year. Red Raspberry bushes can be planted as bare-root plants or as potted plants. These should be planted in full sun area, which is identified as an area that receives at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight during
