I went to ready and Meridian high schools band concert. I went to this concert because by friend also senior in high school was performing. This concert was a pretty good, I enjoyed going to it as well as had a good time. Their take on turning popular songs that we here today on the radio is pretty cool. My reasoning on writing on this concert is because of the fact that it was my friends last one as well as I could talk to him about what he has learned over the years as well as the view point of someone who grow up through the band setting. This band seems to be changing with the times, still using the classical instruments making the classical style into their own style doing this.
The concert was pretty good, watching and listen I have found a new understanding of this type of music because of taking this class. Now when I watch a concert like this I more following the instruments and taping my foot along. Their style of music was cool doing songs like pirates of the Caribbean, Hymn song as well as Brooke Park. They start every concert with the Meridian hawk’s anthem. There was a lot of things that I saw that we have learned in class.
We see all the classic instruments that we learned about. There was an electric guitar a more common drum set that we see used to day, but with those small thing it was pretty easy to look through and list of …show more content…
The musical programs in schools are important to the school system, kids need it just like other things they has to be a way for everyone to express themselves. So I believe that everyone should go out and view this high school bands and watch them perform. The talent that here is great for their age. I believe that the music gives us wings to fly and helps us free ourselves from the world for a

You have to get up pretty early to call the States, if you want your privacy and you want to catch anybody awake at home; at home it’ll be sometime the night before. The desert is cool in the mornings too, or cooler, so that you’ll see the occasional soldier getting his PT in before it gets too hot, but he’s usually far enough away that you don’t have to whisper. I would watch the big black beetles fighting with each other in the dirt (they’re way bigger here than they are at home) while waiting for the call to go through. It always...

Manager

...Learning with Cases INTRODUCTION The case study method of teaching used in management education is quite different from most of the methods of teaching used at the school and undergraduate course levels. Unlike traditional lecture-based teaching where student participation in the classroom is minimal, the case method is an active learning method, which requires participation and involvement from the student in the classroom. For students who have been exposed only to the traditional teaching methods, this calls for a major change in their approach to learning. This introduction is intended to provide students with some basic information about the case method, and guidelines about what they must do to gain the maximum benefit from the method. We begin by taking a brief look at what case studies are, and how they are used in the classroom. Then we discuss what the student needs to do to prepare for a class, and what she can expect during the case discussion. We also explain how student performance is evaluated in a case study based course. Finally, we describe the benefits a student of management can expect to gain through the use of the case method. WHAT IS A CASE STUDY? There is no universally accepted definition for a case study, and the case method means different things to different people. Consequently, all case studies are not structured similarly, and variations abound in terms of style, structure and approach. Case material ranges from small caselets (a few paragraphs...

Childhood End

...expressed in this book are not those of the author I EARTH AND THE OVERLORDS Chapter 1 The volcano that had reared Taratua up from the Pacific depths had been sleeping now for half a million years. Yet in a little while, thought Reinhold, the island would be bathed with fires fiercer than any that had attended its birth. He glanced towards the launching site, and his gaze climbed the pyramid of scaffolding that still surrounded the “Columbus”. Two hundred feet above the ground, the ship’s prow was catching the last rays of the descending sun. This was one of the last nights it would ever know; soon it would be floating in the eternal sunshine of space. It was quiet here beneath the palms, high up on the rocky spine of the island. The only sound from the Project was the occasional yammering of an air compressor or the faint shout of a workman. Reinhold had grown fond of these clustered palms; almost every evening he had come here to survey his little empire. It saddened him to think that they would be blasted to atoms when the “Columbus” rose in flame and fury to the stars. A mile beyond the reef, the “James Forrestal” had switched on her searchlights and was sweeping the dark waters. The sun had now vanished completely, and the swift tropical night was racing in from the east. Reinhold wondered, a little sardonically, if the carrier expected to find Russian submarines so close to shore. The thought of Russia turned his...
