...families in the U.S. military, I find it sad that the families who sacrifice for our freedom are stretched so thin that they need programs such as WIC. Many families use all of their coupons given to them to purchase food however many have found that the foods are sometimes what they don’t need, many wish they had more variety of fruits and vegetables instead of cereal, juice and peanut butter. Many families can’t use all the items they receive because their families don’t like what they are able to get or they don’t know what to use it for. A cookbook that allows moms to use the ingredients that they normally would not know what to do with would be in demand and would help from wasting the food that is provided for the family. The cookbook can be a hobby or release if you will because it will include other facts and ideas as well. This is something that can bring a lot of families and women together. Situational Analysis Cookbooks are something that will always be very viable in the...

...recipes from the Arabic cuisine. At the moment, she only prepares Danish and Italian food. Her family wants to have a taste of Arabia at home as they want to experience the Arabic culture they live in. Ms. Anita is asking for a cookbook filled with Arabic recipes that is created upon her specifications. She wants it to be easy to follow with clear steps as she finds some other Arabic cookbooks really complicated as she isn’t familiar with some of the ingredients. Explanation of inadequacies of current situation: In the interview I had with Ms. Anita, she stated that her family and her are really interested in Arabic food and find it a great way to learn more about the Arabic culture they live in. Currently, she doesn’t have any Arabic cookbooks as the only ones available around her are very complicated and she finds the steps unclear and difficult to follow. She also stated that she is unfamiliar with some of the ingredients so she thinks that an Arabic cuisine cookbook created by an Arab who is familiar with the ingredients is a very good idea. Ms. Anita thinks that using an IT system to create the cookbook is a fantastic idea as videos and other features that make the cookbook easier to follow can be added to the digital cookbook. Word Count: 258 Criterion A: Initial consultation Name: Anita Lauenbach Position: Stay at home mom This interview was conducted in English. 1. Which cuisines are you most familiar with? Condensed Milk Bread Rhetorical Analysis

...On my survey, I have provided two different options to my audience of food to demonstrate and present ahead of time. The audiences voted “How to make Samosa” over “How to make Condensed Milk Bread” demonstration, and I accepted their request. In the survey, I have asked if anyone have food allergies to any possible ingredient, to avoid any allergies incident. Afterwards, I have started looking at cooking websites and food channels in order to learn how to demonstrate preparation and cooking of a meal. I have learned to make the demonstration more interesting, more specific, and using simple language to explain. When demonstrating to specific audience, it is significant to consider their cultural difference, age, and whether more detail would...

Farang Food Review

...its time in the greasy environment of a kitchen. The copy I have myself have gone through stages of wear and tear, even sribbles from my earlier days of artistic excursions. The book as expressed before is multi-lingual, meaning that a person from more than one ethnic or national background may be able to read it. That is also the main purpose of the book: giving opportunity for those wanting to cook, to also learn a second language. The descriptive detail and instructions within the book are quite simple, a little too simple at times, but it still gets the message across. It is amazing to see that a person is able to squeeze in a 20 step process into a 2 page space. Foreigners living in Thailand have also experienced studying this cookbook. Stanley Kemp, a foreigner living in Thailand who still has a taste for his Western delicacies, stated "...when we returned to 388 John from Jomtien called in for the afternoon so we had a chat about cars, computers and cameras, then Diana made a small chili-con-carne for me as I enjoyed the one on Saturday, well as everyone knows the kitchen for me is a death trap, which I go through but never stop in - just in case - but from not being able to cook at all, Diana is doing really well in the kitchen, at lot to do with this book by Gill Bater..." This is concrete proof that this book aids not only Thais, but the so-called "Farangs" also. Not only that, the...
