Rhodopis was a poor lady who needed to work for her family.
She worked in a palace where there was an evil head of the servants who wanted to make her miserable.
Every day she worked hard to make her salary doubled but the head servant did not recognize her hard works.
Rhodopis has a friend who was in love with her. Her friend named Kalif was also a servant of a good pharaoh. He always bring with him the slippers of Rhodopis which served him as a remembrance of Rhodopis for they are away to each other.
One day the pharaoh noticed Kalif, he was holding Rhodopis slippers. The pharaoh asked Kalif about the slippers and Kalif answered the pharaogh the story of the girl who owned the slippers. From the story, he already fell in love with the girl. He curios and decided to search for the girl. Kalif told him where Rhodopis worked and from there the pharaoh decided to visit the said palace.
He saw Rhodopis and tried hard to win Rhodopis’ heart and he never failed. They secretly went out because Rhodopis didn’t want anyone to know her affair with the pharaoh.
But the head servant was wicked and she found out about the affair.
She secretly loved the pharaoh and she didn’t want anybody to be the pharaoh’s wife but her.
Because of jealousy and insecurity, she cast a love spell to the pharaoh. The time came when the pharaoh wanted to introduced Rhodopis as his soon to be wife he saw the head servant.
Under the love spell he fell in love with the head servant and decided to leave Rhodopis.
No one knows about the affair between Rhodopis and the pharaoh and it remained a secret ‘til the wedding day of the head servant and the pharaoh.
Rhodopis was left crying together with Kalif.
The head servant and the pharaoh had their happy ending.
