This tale is about two goats, Rick and his son Leo. This story both involves loss and win. Both Rick and his son defend against evil and struggle to make sure it does not harm the people they love. Rick wasn’t always this famous and heroic. He started out being bullied and he overcame that and now he is the hero that saves his city.
Rick was an ordinary goat, except for having an abnormally large and sticky tongue. Rick was made fun of by the other goats. Everyone doubted that Rick would grow up to be something great and paid little attention to him. This made Rick very depressed and he retreated in the woods planning his attack on his village. Rick had an ingenuous plan to use his tongue as an advantage. He realized that he could accomplish …show more content…
Rick never stopped trying to save the city until he died trying to defend his village. By the time he was defeated he saved a countless number. Without his service the village would have been destroyed. His final battle was the biggest battle that he had ever participated in. It was a war between him and a dragon. Rick thought that if he attached his tongue to the dragon he could swing him down to the ground like an anchor. Instead, the dragon picked him up and flew into the ocean. Rick weighed down the dragon and made it very difficult for him to fly. The dragon tried numerous times to launch Tick off of him, but they were all unsuccessful. Rick realized that even if he killed the dragon he would never make it back home, because of this he was less concerned about living and just wanted to kill the dragon so that his village would never sufferer. Rick learned to control the dragon while he was in air and flew it directly into an active volcano. They both were vaporized in the heat immediately ending the war. When the city heard of the news they were very saddened and worried. They feared that they could not be safe anymore and there village would be destroyed swiftly. They built a wall made of stone and wood to keep anybody else out. The wall held up for a while until the army of sheep returned and burned Rick’s precious city to the ground. Only a small group of goat remained. One of the last goats left was Rick’s son Leo. Rick followed in his father footsteps and went on to establish another goat village where protected it just like his father

...Chapter 1 I Get What I Pay For Welcome to Red Grove. Population 200 “Now, two hundred and one,” I murmured as I passed the painted wooden sign in my trusty red Jeep. Small towns like Red Grove always made me think of horror movies as if a gap-toothed, overall-wearing butcher might hobble out of his deep woods shanty, pitchfork in hand, at any moment. The town had an off the charts creepy factor. On my right, a dark forest worthy of the Brothers Grimm. On my left, a cemetery edged in a weathered wrought iron fence. I think there were more than two hundred headstones. More dead than living. Nice. There must be some mistake. I came here to start over. Could a new life be hiding behind the unappealing rural exterior? My promised house remained a mystery. I double-checked the notebook with my father’s scrawled directions resting on the passenger’s seat next to me. Technically, I’d lived in Red Grove as a child, but we’d moved before I turned two. I didn’t remember the town at all or the residents, living or dead. I shifted my attention back to my driving. “Holy shit!” I proclaimed as I overcorrected the wheel, and my foot drifted from the gas. The man on the side of the road was so attractive I could’ve died—literally. He was planting something. A tree, I think. Every time his shovel hit the dirt, a ripple coursed through his shoulders and down his stomach. I raised an eyebrow at the glint of sun on tanned, shirtless skin. Dark hair, low slung jeans. I tried not to...

Implenting Martial Arts in Dps

...Situation Analysis Detroit Public Schools is in a transitional process striving for improvement. As budget challenges force retirement of seasoned teachers and unemployment for others, resources and extracurricular activities share a fate of extinction. Courses that promote creativity to produce young writers, musicians and artist and programs that build inner strength, discipline, teaming and socialization such as physical education are eliminated or severely scaled down. According to an interview with Mrs. Cohen, UAW representative of Hamilton Elementary, $10,000 is required to educate each student, but Detroit Public Schools is receiving $7,000 per student. Although, the program “No Child Left Behind” was enacted to give children equal opportunity despite extraordinary circumstantial, academic and environmental conditions, inner-city students are beginning their educational endeavor discounted and disadvantaged. Educators are frustrated, many parents are uninvolved, and the children are angry and becoming more violent daily. Regular episodes of physical violence plague Detroit Public Schools; thus, a new channel such as Martial Arts needs integration into the school system to redirect instability. The Need School violence has negatively impacted the learning process and has forced the federal and state governments to enact programs for safer schools. According to Kym Worthy, prosecutor of Wayne County, “School violence is an issue that has plagued America for years...

Technology

...oday's technology is already producing a marked shift in the way we think and behave, particularly among the young. I mustn't, however, be too censorious, because what I'm talking about is pleasure. For some, pleasure means wine, women and song; for others, more recently, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll; and for millions today, endless hours at the computer console. But whatever your particular variety of pleasure (and energetic sport needs to be added to the list), it's long been accepted that 'pure' pleasure - that is to say, activity during which you truly "let yourself go" - was part of the diverse portfolio of normal human life. Until now, that is. Now, coinciding with the moment when technology and pharmaceutical companies are finding ever more ways to have a direct influence on the human brain, pleasure is becoming the sole be-all and end-all of many lives, especially among the young. We could be raising a hedonistic generation who live only in the thrill of the computer-generated moment, and are in distinct danger of detaching themselves from what the rest of us would consider the real world. This is a trend that worries me profoundly. For as any alcoholic or drug addict will tell you, nobody can be trapped in the moment of pleasure forever. Sooner or later, you have to come down. I'm certainly not saying all video games are addictive (as yet, there is not enough research to back that up), and I genuinely welcome the new generation of "brain-training" computer...

Student in Finance

...FRANK T. ROTHAERMEL DAVID R. KING Tesla Motors, Inc. January 1, 2015. Elon Musk, chief executive officer (CEO) of Tesla is taking it easy on this New Year’s Day. While having his coffee, he scrolls through some recent issues of The Wall Street Journal on his iPad. A headline from one current story jumps out at him, “Gasoline prices have declined for 88 consecutive days, the longest streak of falling prices on record.”1 The slide in gas prices, which began in September 2014, also happened to coincide with the slide in Tesla Motors (TSLA) stock. With increasing oil, and therefore gas, prices, people had an incentive for purchasing electric cars. Now with gas prices drop- ping, the incentive to buy would start to become less of one, and the demand for the product would probably drop. This was one of the challenges facing Musk on this New Year’s Day. In addition to hav- ing to contend with lower selling costs due to rising production, Tesla was also confronting increasing competition and economic headwinds that were likely going to lower the demand for electric cars. Musk is a serial entrepreneur longing to leave a legacy, and he believes that Tesla just might be the company that will help him leave his mark. He has a large profile already and has been described as “Henry Ford and Robert Oppenheimer in one person,” as well as “Tony Stark, the eccentric inventor better known as Iron Man.”2, 3 (In fact, Musk made a cameo appearance in Iron Man 2.) But, with sev- eral pressing...
