“I bring a lot to the table. I'm not talking about material things, but what I have to offer as a person - love and loyalty and all the things that make a good relationship.”-Jennifer Lopez. Defending somebody when nobody else does is true loyalty. Even Rudyard Kipling included it in his story,” He made sure he would be banged to death, and for the honor of his family.” Is the saying really true? This story all connected with us, because the loyalty shown in Rikki-Tikki-Tavi always came with a price. The theme of the fictional story Rikki-tikki-tavi by Rudyard Kipling is loyalty can have a big impact on your decisions.

Rikki Tikki is a loyal character in this story. For instant,”He wanted all his strength and quickness ready, he must keep himself thin.”(para 34) This reflects, Rikki`s loyalty, because he`s reconsidering his `traditions` of snake-eating and opting to stay healthy for his family. This also entails Rikki is pushing aside his animal instincts of snake-eating and developing more human traits like loyalty. Secondly, “He made sure he would be banged to death, and for the honor of his family.”(para 58) This shows that Rikki would have enough loyalty to challenge Nag when the …show more content…
In one example,”“The head above the hood; and when I am once there, I must not let go.”(para) This demonstrates that Rikki strategically plotted to kill Nag when he overheard Nag and Nagainas` plans. Rikki was trying to protect his family, even though he knew he could`ve died. Similarly,”Give me the last of my eggs, and I will go away and never come back.” (para 93) This shows that Nagaina is declaring her surrender to Rikki with dialogue.
