Riordan New DSL/Cable access services

T1 service uses a fiber optic line sometimes copper, it carries 24 digitized voice channels or data at a rate of 1.544 MBPS. It plugs into the phone system if its only being used for voice calls, if data is being used then it plugs into the network’s router. By moving from high-end T1 services to DSL/Cable access services, Riordan monthly network communications cost will be reduced. With download availability up to 18Mbps per circuit, you could move Active Directory, Exchange services, file sharing, digital training and database services over multiple links to cloud computing, reducing both operating and network access services costs. DSL/Cable with the Cisco 1800 series makes sense. Download speeds of 18Mbps, Internet access at all locations would run faster than traditional T1 services. The savings will not only be on hardware and network services, but also the ability to expand data center options in order to reduce costs while increasing productivity in all locations . T1’s are more reliable, only in part because they are at lower speeds than DSL or Cable. The interesting thing is that almost all T1 service is HDSL. T1 service for most copper installation since the 1990’s has moved from expensive repeaters and careful cable studies to what is called High capacity DSL, or HDSL. T1 outage repairs need to be under 4 hours for 95% of all T1 outages that’s required by the FCC. Competition from DSL/Cable G3/G4 cellular, WiMAX; market failures for business class DSL/Cable is unacceptable if market share are to stay stable or grow. The Federal Reserve has moved from T1 service to Cisco low end routers with DSL. Fast food industries discovered that T1 service to each store was cost prohibitive and also moved from T1 service to DSL/Cable business service. The Cisco 1800 series can provide 100Mbps of firewall inspection, 40Mbps of VPN services and 50 VPN tunnels at the same time without Wi-Fi for around $800.00. This change could be the difference in paying $550.00 per circuit to $85.00 per circuit.
