Executive Summary

The main objectives of this report were to evaluate and determine if business ethics and corporate citizenship initiatives would increase employee efficiency within the workplace, the impact of these programs on the reputation of the organization and their effect on the organization’s relationship with employees, investors, and customers. A variety of relevant books and modern journal articles were used to research on this subject. The review of these articles and books revealed that corporate social responsibility initiatives play a fundamental role in building the image of the company as well as strengthening the organization’s relationship with its customers. Ethical programs on the other hand guide employee actions and in effect minimize any points of conflict that may arise within the workplace thereby increasing workplace efficiency and overall employee productivity. Ethical programs also ensure that financial reporting abides by the stipulated standards. This ensures that the information contained in financial reports is reliable and therefore increases investor confidence and strengthens the relationship between them (investors) and the organization. It is therefore critical that our organization develops ethical and corporate citizenship programs that can be implemented and monitored and necessary adjustments made. This would see our organization reap the benefits that come with having these programs in place.

In order to gain success and maintain the success a business must have a reliable and dependable staff. With this being said it is important to compensate employees to maintain and develop the best work performance possible. The success of the business is depended on the employees. Research has been done on three compensation strategies that benefit the employees and company, those three compensation strategies are implementing stock options, tuition reimbursement, and merit plans. Stock options benefits have been known as an attractive way to reward employee performance. It is important for the organization to claim the stock options to be capitalized on the balance sheet so shareholders can track EPS, which in return is beneficial to the organization as well. This compensation benefit has been around for decades and continued to grow until the increase in accounting rules in 2001. With more rules implemented it allows for the companies to maintain a fairness in the workplace. This option should be offered to all employees but is not...

Social media platforms enable brands to expand in current markets as well as become introduced in new markets. Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook are social media platforms that are widely used to promote a brand, helping to create trust and loyalty between a brand and its consumers. Twitter allows our brand to connect on a more personal level with our consumers. We can interact on a one-on-one basis. Twitter lets us respond to and resolve concerns quickly. It also enables us to be a part of our consumers’ daily lives, reminding them that we are there. Twitter also boosts our brands awareness and visibility. Every time our brand is tweeted about it causes search engines to bump our brand to the top of their search list and attracting potential consumers to our brand. Pinterest affords our consumers a deeper look into our brand. Pinterest is where we can pin boards about the things that appeal to us, the projects we are in the process of doing and future items we would like to invest in. Brands and businesses for our employees. Compensation is one of the most important and rewarding factors for our employees based on our organizational health survey conducted in 2011, so a thoughtful and thorough approach should be taken as we think about changing the way in which our companies reward our employees for the work they perform on a daily basis. Salary and hourly compensations are easy and constant ways of paying the employees of our companies. Salary and hourly compensation can be a set wages employees will earn based on their job description. This wage will not change based on seniority or merit. The stability of this type of compensation system is appealing to employees as they are aware of how much income they will receive on a regular basis. Hourly based pay has very little room for opportunity of growth for the employees. Commission/productivity based pay also known asperformance based pay is a relatively common and popular approach to compensation where the employee is paid by...

Without having to host our own datacenter, cloud hosted applications put us in the driver’s seat by offering up key business services we need, but taking away all of the overhead which comes with an enterprise environment. I researched four solutions for small businesses to cover each of the core areas of business needs. My focus was on providing a total business solution for productivity, accounting and sales, quality assurance and customer service, and marketing. For each of the areas identified, a solution was found and vetted through research. I have recommended the purchase of Microsoft Office 365 E1 for use for productivity software. It’s price point is extremely competitive and it provides the most robust set of services available in the market for this type of package...

It is a very important component to our manufacturing company’s Human Resource system. Our 120 employees are the heart of our business. We depend on their knowledge to help our company reach its goals. Therefore, we researched a variety of compensation strategies, which you will read below, that have helped us develop a compensation system that will motivate, encourage, retain and reward employees. There is no perfect system. Not all systems fit all businesses. The idea that pay policies have strategic impact has become a major theme within the compensation literature since the mid-1980’s…analysis reveals that inferior organizational performance is associated with the lack of fit between pay policy and business strategy.” (Montemayor, 1996, p889). But through careful investigation we have found two systems we believe will work well in our company. Through our research, three compensation systems really stood out. We will discuss Merit Based Pay, Salary Plus Commission and end with Salary Plus Bonus. This report outlines our...

...History and story of KaruMagic: This land has a rich heritage of magical lore, of a kind found nowhere else. Its annals describe how long ago Gods, heroes and lovers lived out their highest destinies on this soil. The first inhabitants of this particular land were those of myths and legends who possessed many magical powers and abilities in many different forms. Among them were Fairies, Pixies, Dryads, Nymphs, Brownies, Sprites, Whisps, Elves, Dwarfs, Hobbits, Drow, Dark Elf, Gobblins, Trolls, Orcs, Mermaid, Mermen, water nymphs, Dragons, Drakes, Gryphons, Centaur, Fawns, Satyrs, Unicorns, Anthromorphs and many animals; and a few humans (although these beings are rare), who were known as the Galens. Being fairly peaceful and living in harmony between themselves (after they had all combined forces to rid their lands of the dreaded Dark Force that had plagued them for decades with the Dark Wars) and with nature as they followed the Druidic laws and lifestyles; this blend of creatures enjoyed their peaceful existence until they were invaded by a people known as the Celts. The Galen after many battles fell under the control of the Celts, eventually the land started to bloom. Not with impressive buildings, nor by suppressing of other cultures, like the Greek, the Persians and the Romans did, but by creating a blended society based on the Brehon Law; because the Celts after battling the Galen races for so long had become familiar with the history and learned to appreciate...

All three advances are around five years in age, but have made dramatic progressions in their usefulness and purpose over the course of their existence. When we talk about driving the organization towards success it is not any different from steering a car or vehicle in the right direction towards the required destination. That is why roadmaps and directions are developed and changed constantly so that the organizations and management are able to keep their business current and follow the latest trends and requirements as demanded by the external environmental factors that are constantly changing. ...Business Research Report Evaluation of Information Technology Systems Table of Contents Executive Summary 3 Introduction 4 Research Findings 5 Apple iPad 5 Toshiba Excite™ 13 6 Samsung Galaxy Note II 6 Recommendations 7 Conclusion 7 References 8 Executive Summary For a large company, with a large sales department, with many remote employees, three different technologies that have emerged within the last five years were looked at to compare features, usability, and size. I also looked at was how easy or difficult each device would be to set up, as well as how secure each device would be for employees to use. The devices were compared to find which device would be best to have each employee use. The Apple iPad is practical for small businesses because it can be set up for fewer users and it easy to use, as well as compact, which makes it easy to transport form office to office or from home to home for remote employees. Unfortunately, for large companies, the Apple iPad can be difficult to set up for multiple users on a single iPad. Setting up devices for each work station can be very costly, as it requires its own hardware for each workstation. The iPad runs faster with the A6X chip, which launches the applications faster and makes the device run faster. The device can support a wide range of virtual private networks, which makes the device secure. The Toshiba Excite 13 Tablet is a little bigger than the iPad, which can make it harder to transport...
