SRL Survey Analysis

The SRL survey results basically told me what I have suspected all along. I am an ideal candidate for self-regulated learning. I scored very well in every section of the survey because I have the natural tendency to be a self-regulated learner regardless of whether or not I am currently enrolled in any classes.

I have a very positive mindset, in general. I used to be very hard on myself and was a perfectionist when it came to school or life. Through lifetime experience I have learned that everyone fails. Failure and setbacks are just part of life. Instead of focusing on how I wish things could have gone my way or what mistakes I may have made, I always focus on what I'm going to do next. How do I fix or improve my situation? What are my next steps? I believe that this simple way of thinking has been one of my greatest assets in life and will also be one of my greatest assets as I continue my education.

Furthermore, I find myself constantly seeking new information. I love learning and I have always loved learning. I am always reading about new ideas and …show more content…
I'm going to have to admit that my environment is a little chaotic. I know that that will be one of my greatest challenges while completing my education with WGU. I have four children, a dog and a husband in a fairly small, open concept, home. Privacy and peace and quiet are almost exclusivley found out of the house or in the bathroom. However, I have developed a plan for placing a desk in one of the least traveled areas of our home and using that as my personal study area. I also plan on being open minded as I proceed through my courses knowing that I may have to adjust my study hours to ones when my family is mostly turned in for the night or set some new rules or boundaries for the family. It's helpful for me to know this is an area that I need to keep an open mind about and I am willing to do what it takes to be

Importance Of E-Learning Framework

...self regulating e-learning framework that provides solutions to the problems discussed. It is based on a Continuous Improvement Model as proposed by Deming who was instrumental for introducing TQM, a quality management concept in USA and Japan in the post war world. The Model facilitates faculties to design and deploy their course content in an e-learning website. Provisions are given to collect and analyze feedbacks from the learners. The feedback received from students and automatic collection of learner behavior patterns helps faculties or course administrators to resort to redesigning and improving the web content to suit the needs of the students. The tools used for content creation, faculty student interactions and site usage pattern analysis are Google Sites [31], Google Docs [32], and Google Analytics [22]. A. Continuous Improvement Model Fig. 1 shows a Continuous Improvement Model known as PDCA (“Plan” “Do” “Check” “Act”) cycle. W. Edward Deming made it famous in 1980s. PDCA has become the fundamental tenet of quality improvement. It is a closed loop Engineering application, or a feedback diagram for the quality process. Every step in quality leads to performance improvement. Increased quality leads to rising customer expectations, which in turn drives further product and process improvement [17]. The self regulating e-learning framework is based on this model. B. Ecommerce Vs E-Learning Many of the ideas and tools used in this study are based on concepts and best practices...

This exploratory study focuses on country-specific conditions associated with the chosen entry mode - an important component in the consideration of overall entry strategy. Information from field studies representing 18 manufacturers – 10 directly manufacturing in Russia and 8 selling their products in Russia via representative/sales offices – was obtained by means of personal interviews with senior management in Moscow and constituted the primary qualitative data. Research questions are posed for further examination of conditions in Russia and the effects of such conditions on the entry mode decisions of MMEs. ...are an important venue for firms to grow. For this reason, scholars and policymakers intensely debate the determinants of firms’ international expansion. There is a growing consensus that firms’ corporate governance influences their ability to export. In recent editorials on the costs and benefits of family firms, The Economist (2012, 2013) mentions the successful experience of German and Northern European family firms in international markets, arguing that these firms have led the export boom of their countries. According to The Economist, a key benefit of family owners is their long-termism, that is, their ability to internalize the long-run benefits of expanding abroad. In line with these arguments, Ward (2006) reports the results of a survey conducted among 300 executives: 43% of the executives of non-family firms acknowledged that their companies under-invested in long-term...
