2. what is GE trying to achieve by moving some one of the headquarters of its global business to foreign location? How might such moves benefit the company? Do these moves benefit the United States?
- By GE trying some of it’s headquarter to foreign location they are trying to achieve a closer relationship with the people and government of the country, close to its customer. China, for example, the government is large customer, and working closely with government, it is necessary to understand deeply local language and culture sensitive in order to be successful. That is difficult for outsides to gain, so by having a local office you can obtain this by hiring Chinese. They can understand clearly what these customer need and supply exceeds expectations. It would be less likely make maketing mistake.
- Benefit : gives opportunity to get closer to customer and can be able to know culture and customer of the local countries. By locating in those economies where it is growing rapidly, GE can better design equipment that is best suited to local needs then they can gain sales in the developing world. Convenient transportation, example GE Healthy Care like London, it allow easier flights to anywhere in the world. People likely to buy and use a product that made with in their country
- I don’t think is has benefits for the United States when GE moved to different countries. The main goal is to have benefits for the internationalization of the company and to be closer to its customer.

...asdfasdfadfasdfasdfasbelieve Walmart is a very successful company from a business standpoint. The company is the world's third largest public corporation list in 2012, the biggest private employer in the world with over two million employees, and is the largest retailer in the world. It has 8,500 stores in 15 countries and is the largest and most profitable retailer in the United States. However, from a moral standpoint Walmart may not be as successful as many may think. It has violated many human rights in some of its third world countries, as depicted in the film “Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price.” In the movie, they take an extremely biased stance against Walmart accusing the company of being inhumane, and not recognizing the rights of workers. It also went further and said that they attempt to cover up these actions, by teaching the workers to lie. The movie however fails to recognize that Walmart is not the only company to engage in such actions. In fact, shoe companies, such as Nike, and clothing companies, such as Hollister, are known to make their products in sweatshops. Some of the allegations brought up against Walmart proved to be true. On of their major attacks were, “The income of a Walmart associate is below the poverty level in America.” They continued by providing customer testimonies that stated that they wanted to quit but they could not afford too. Walmart should not be ridiculed for the amount of money they pay their associates. To get a job at Walmart...

...Blake Fleischer 11/11/14 Dionysus and Satyrs: Greek mythology and application with theatre Dionysus was the Greek god of wine and patron, who happened to have companions known as Satyrs; a hybrid of a man and horse. The stories of these two “species” have inspired many ancient Greeks. There was an abundance of art, monuments, and worshipping of Dionysus and his satyrs in ancient Greece. It was also known that Greeks loved to write plays about Dionysus and satyrs. Greeks went so far as too dress up their entire casting crew as furry, half-horse creatures - even the chorus. The Athenians built an entire theatre in honor of Dionysus. It is known that the Greeks loved their and therefore worshipped Dionysus accordingly. The Greek satyr is a spirit of the wilderness and countryside. They are depicted as men with horse features such as nose, hair, legs, tails, and ears. They were companions of Dionysus, so they are almost always shown drinking wine, dancing, or playing Dionysus’ instruments like the flute and tambourine. Satyrs mated with mountain Nymphai; another species companion of Dionysus. The satyrs not only mated with nymphai, they also danced and sported with them. In Roman concepts of spirits, the similar “fauns” were men with goat-like features. In “Satyr-plays” that were performed in the festivals of Dionysus, the entire cast and chorus dress up as satyrs. They are characterized with drunkness, impudent sexuality, visual gags, pranks, and general merriment...
