On August 20th, 2017 at approximately 9:18 PM, one month old "C.J." was presented to Saint Francis Hospital Emergency Room in Muskogee by his parents, Emma Whitehead (biological mother) and Robert Jones Jr. (biological father). "C.J." was brought to the emergency room for seizures caused by head trauma within the past few days.

Saint Francis Muskogee performed a CT scan on "C.J." which revealed a small right temporal skull fracture, a left temporal skull fracture, and a large subdural hematoma. "C.J." also had a contusion to his left eye, as well as fingerprint contusions on each side of "C.J.'s" neck and a contusion to his left ear. These injuries are considered to be non-accidental injuries and due to "C.J.'s" declining medical condition,
