Customer Relationship Management

...| Salesforce[Document subtitle] | | 5/31/15 | Customer Relationship Management | | | Salesforce[Document subtitle] | | 5/31/15 | Customer Relationship Management | | CRM ASSIGNMENT #1 Salesforce Business Model: Salesforce.com used the Software as a Service (SaaS) Model to provide services to its customers. What SaaS model does is it gives the customers the option to save upfront costs without the need of installing hi-tech servers in their premises, instead all their data is stored in the external cloud space managed by the service provider. Salesforce provides its customers with a variety of cloud based applications that can be used by them and customized by them as per their requirement. Salesforce has made it easy for the companies to adapt to their software as a single version of software which is enough to accommodate their business operations requirement. Also the companies can subscribe to the services that they want and not the whole software in itself. This helps to keep the cost in control. To understand how salesforce does it we can have a look at the short video. Some of the various services offered by Salesforce are: 1) Service Cloud: Due to this the customers of the client can get support where ever required. 2) Desk.com: This tool can be used by business to offer personalized services and solution. Enables to easily survey customers from within Desk.com to measure customer satisfaction (CSAT) and adjust your......

Sealed Air Analysis

...Sealed Air Case Comments Sealed air case is a comprehensive case that captures many issues that we have discussed in the marketing course. It is also one of the best selling marketing cases and I think for some very good reasons. Here are my comments on the case questions. Question 2: Sealed Air created value to its customers by building high performance (technical) product quality in its coated bubbles and by educating the customers about the benefits of coated bubbles through the educational efforts of its salesforce and its brochures. Sealed Air’s salesforce also used “consultative sales approach” and provided problem solving advice to the customers. However, there are also indications that the company may be providing too high performance(technical) quality at least for some applications. The company created value for its distributors by the strength of its brand equity, the strong demand for its products and its helpful salesforce. The company also used selective distribution policy which meant less competition among distributors and thus this policy preserved the distributors’ profit margins. Question 3: There are several possibilities here. The important ones (not counting no response) are: • Spend more resources in educating customers about the benefits of bubbles • Launch uncoated bubbles • Cut prices of the products most directly affected by the uncoated bubbles • Provide additional services to the coated customers to......

The only difference between them is that Application no Apex saves Salesforce access credentials. So if you are working with Salesforce, and especially if you are scheduling Salesforce integrations, use Application no Apex. ...through the Internet. Typically, the seller has actual energy-consuming servers which host products and services from a remote location, so end-users don't have to; they can simply log on to the network without installing anything. The major models of cloud computing service are known as software as a service, platform as a service, and infrastructure as a service. These cloud services may be offered in a public, private or hybrid network.[2] Google, Amazon, IBM, Oracle Cloud, Rackspace, Salesforce, Zoho and Microsoft Azure are some well-known cloud vendors.[3] Network-based services, which appear to be provided by real server hardware and are in fact served up by virtual hardware simulated by software running on one or more real machines, are often called cloud computing. Such virtual servers do not physically exist and can therefore be moved around and scaled up or down on the fly without affecting the end user, somewhat like a cloud becoming larger or smaller without being a physical object....

...for operating profit, based on targets set during the budgeting process. Division P&Ls reflected plant revenues and costs, as well as allocations of corporate and selling expenses. Because most salesforces were aligned with business groups rather than divisions, each had a sales expense ratio that was applied to the work it sold into any plant. Until 1991, division managers' incentive compensation was tied to their particular division's profit performance. This formula was subsequently changed in the oldest parts of the company, such as commercial printing, where the assets of individual divisions were similar and could be used for the same type of work. In these parts of the company, division-level incentives became groupwide in 1991, and sectorwide in 1993. As Jeff Majestic, financial director of the Information Services Group, explained: We couldn’t move work around when each division wanted to maximize its own profitability. Now the division directors ask, "What is the most profitable way to run this job for Donnelley?" because they can make the best decision for the company without its affecting their incentive pay.” With few exceptions, division managers reported to business group presidents. Each business group contained several plants (divisions), as well as its own salesforce and such staff functions as marketing and finance. Group P&Ls were therefore the aggregate of their plants’ P&Ls, and business presidents' incentive compensation was tied to the profits and......

...Amazon’s EC2 service [7] and Google’s App Engine [8] partially overlap in scope and applicability. EC2 is more flexible but also lower-level, while App Engine subsumes some functionality in Amazon Web Services suite of offerings [2] external to EC2. On balance, App Engine incorporates that functionality at the expense of being less general-purpose and more tightly integrated. Differences such as these make comparisons between products difficult; it is unclear how the major products fit into the greater universe of offerings and what axes of comparison are appropriate. The goal of this study is to perform a detailed survey of different offerings to classify and clarify the commonalities and differences along various product dimensions. The objects of analysis in this work are products and not their component technologies in a vacuum. Clarifying the relationship of the various cloud computing products will allow both consumers and service providers to assess their current and planned future offerings in light of their desired properties and marketplace positioning. Scope: Since the landscape of cloud computing is so broad and nebulous, this work’s scope is explicitly limited to lower-level offerings. In particular, “infrastructure” or “platform”-level services as well as relevant supporting services – this will include offerings like Amazon’s EC2 [7] or Google’s App Engine [8]. It will not cover application-level offerings such as GMail [1], Google Docs [9], or Microsoft Online......
