Just like the three men from Newark, Blackwell achieved her goal of becoming a doctor in spite of all the discrimination, with dedication and support from friends and family. ...consists of three separate plays, “From These Green Heights”, “The Townlands of Brazil”, and “The Consequence of Lightning”. Each of these individual plays reflects their own separate problems experienced by the inhabitants of the Ballymun Towers. Families that were offered to live in these flats saw it as a chance for a new start. Most of the new tenants saw this as the perfect opportunity for a brighter future and as a way to get out of their current unstable homes which some have even collapsed and claimed the lives of several people. Although in each of these plays, the residents of the Ballymun Tower all experiences different situations, each play are cleverly linked to each other in one way or another. Throughout “From These Green Heights”, the play oscillates between two time frames, the 1960’s and early 2000, each focusing on a period of Dessie’s life. At the start of “From These Green Heights”, Dessie, as a child, along with his parents, Christy and Carmel, were one of the first families to move into the newly constructed Ballymun Towers. Although the towers were far from finish, which was promised shopping centers, schools, medical clinics, and a playground for the children, the families moving into these flats had high hopes for their new home. ...Video Game Influence A recent study, conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and Charité University Medicine St. Hedwig-Krankenhaus, shows that video games don’t lead to long-term behavioral problems. Not only do video games not lead to these problems, but they actually improve things such as reflexes, creativity, and even give a healthier brain. A molecular psychiatrist found that “video gaming causes increases in the brain regions responsible for spatial orientation, memory formation, and strategic planning, as well as fine motor skills.” Video games are often assumed to take a toll on the person that plays them physically, emotionally, and/or psychologically. These assumptions often come from concerns that a person has, rather than the evidence that can prove otherwise. This has been a problem since video games first came around. The good side to video games, such as hand eye coordination being trained, will be talked about. The bad side, such as the violence in video games, or the addiction they cause, will also be addressed. These problems are often serious problems and can be difficult to deal with. It is worth noting that some video games can actually be good for a person to be playing—in moderation of course. 'A lot of these were students, yet the percentage of people (who have policies) is quite high. I think it shows some concern over financial security in the future and that they're more savvy in terms of insurance.' The survey, which aimed to give insights into Singapore's 'Generation Y', also found that 7 per cent of interviewees had invested in either unit trusts or mutual funds, with 22 per cent of this group having between 2-4 investments. The top three companies for both life and medical insurance were AIA, Prudential and NTUC Income. And being young hasn't stopped Singaporeans from owning credit cards either. After George Still's discovery, many controversies followed. It was believed that ADHD was a result of brain damage, but when doctors realized that most children with ADHD had no brain damage, that idea was discarded. ADHD was then called Hyperactive Child Syndrome, where all the focus was on hyperactivity.
