VI. Supply and Demand Situation
The environment of the market affects directly or indirectly the availability and demand situation of the product. Indeed, there is a growing market of mobile games nowadays. In order to successfully launch this mobile game environmental forces must be determined to understand and recognize threaths and opportunities that will help the product cope up in the mobile game industry. Competitive, economic, technological and sociocultural forces will help us understand the supply and demand situation.
In the mobile game industry, competition is extreme.
There is a large number of competitors which is the game developers characterized by a pure competition.
Competitive forces includes all kinds of mobile games such as simulation, role playing games, puzzle and action. These games may affect the demand for the tower defese game due to different preferences of what type of game will a social gamer play. The direct competitor of our mobile game are those games having similar features of a tower defense game.These environmental factors would likely affect the demand of the product.entitled
“Mage Defenders” due to many competing mobile games in the global market. Since mobile games becomes more popular every now and then, many game developers aim to create the most addictive and fascinating game.
That’s why mobile games needs to be updated and relevant every now and then. The supply of the game would remain unlimited and available for IOS devices, since it will be offered for free and buyers would only pay for the upgrade of the game.
Economic forces also affect the demand of the game.
Since IOS devices are more expensive than android devices, the buying power of each individual will most likely affect its demandability from the device itself up to the demandability of the mobile game offered by the apple apps store. The willingness of an IOS user to pay for the upgrade of the game , will also determine the demandability of the product. Changes in economic conditions of a certain country affects the demand of a social gamer. If a country experiences a fluctuation in their economy, the level of expenditures by the consumers will also fluctuate. A social gamer will consider what’s best and what’s worth paying for and he might also lose the ability to demand for the mobile games due to consideration of his neccessities. Economic conditions of each individual will eventually affect the demandability of the mobile games but the supply would remain constant for the socila gamers.

According to our survey with over 100 respondents, 21% are from ages 12 to 14, 33% from ages 15-17, 41% from ages 18-20 and 5% from ages 21-23. Among them, 53% use Apple(IOS) gadgets and 47% use android gadgets to play games. Majority of the respondents like playing simulation games the most, next to that is strategy games, then puzzle games, action games, and down to roleplaying games which reflects how people nowadays like playing fun games and the same time require critical thinking that stimulates the mind. Most of the respondents often play for fun as what games are supposed to be, next is for past time for recreational purposes like when a people are stressed out and want to refresh especially when they are bored and have nothing to do, and lastly people play for competition just to have a friendly match with their friends and see who's better at playing the game. 49% of the respondents play games when they have a break, 33% play games every day and
16% play games before going to sleep. 62% of the respondents spend time playing for about 1 to 3 hours of typical time, 24% play from 4 to 6 hours and 12% play from 7 hours and above, which proves that most people nowadays spend at least an hour or so for playing games . 48% of our respondents said that they are most often to download mobile because they literally want to keep up with today's trend of downloading different kinds of apps especially games, 33% said always which means that they have been downloading games already and
19% said sometimes. This basically proves that most of the people download games since none of the respondents said never. When we asked them if they are also willing to download defense games, 9% of them said never maybe because they are unfamiliar of tower defense games and if we look into it, even though none of them said that they never download games, when it comes new games, there will always be a percentage who's not willing to try it out. On the hand there is still
16% who are relatively unwilling, 33% are very willing and 42% are somewhat willing to download a tower defense game which means even if a game is new, there's a high possibility that people are willing to take chance of downaloadingnit.

Technological forces also have a great impact in the supply and demand of the game. People can now access to mobile games thru different kinds of gadgets including iPhones, iPod touch, iPads, smartphones and tablets.
Supply of game apps is considered unlimited for IOS users for there are hundreds of thousands apps available on iTunes which can be downloaded anytime and unlimited downloads per app is also allowed and on the other hand, android may not have the access to this since it's strictly for IOS users. Unlike play stations,
Xbox, Nintendos, etc., you still have to check if the game you want is still available at the moment on stores, while game apps are readily available for download thru internet, anytime and anywhere as long as you have internet access. Given the easy access to iTunes for IOS users, where they can just download the game, it will affect their eagerness or want to download it and therefore increase the demand. The developer may lose a big part of potential market of this games since majority of people who own gadgets are android users but are most likely not to take a chance of paying for upgrades.
Lastly, the Sociocultural forces also play a role in the supply and demand of the game. Part of the status quo nowadays is to have smartphones with fancy apps in it.
Supply is still unlimited for IOS although there will be charges for the upgrades and still none for the android users since it can only be accessed through IOS.
Basically, people download apps, especially game apps based on the trend of new apps released on iTunes or playstore. When innovators early adaptors have good reviews on an app, they are more likely to recommend it to others and friends too, thus making a trend. The trend once again and influences by peers, families, co-workers, etc. play part in the demand for the game. Therefore, it is important to make an app which is of high quality and good presentation to attract customers and increase the demand for downloading the game.
