Art comes in many shapes and forms. From things such as paintings, music, and even the occasional sandwich making. Yes, you heard correctly. You are probably thinking it’s so easy to make a sandwich all one has to do is throw in some bread, meat, cheese, and maybe some lettuce if you’re feeling a little crazy. No. Everything you think you know about sandwiches is wrong. This essay will show you how I became the world renowned sandwich artist and how you too can become one. It was an end of a very busy day. Muscles ached and all my body wanted to do was drown in a pool of pillows and blankets. As I made my way to my bedroom a sudden grumble came from the pit of my stomach. I haven’t eaten all day and my poor stomach and I were hungry. I walked …show more content…

Once I graduated with my Masters in Sandwich making, it wasn’t too long before I began working for the world’s top sandwich chefs, was on covers of sandwich illustrated, and even launched my own line of sandwich bags. The next couple of ingredients I will be discussing are crucial but they may be subbed out or substituted if one is vegan or vegetarian. Sandwich meat is what holds the sandwich together, it brings on all the flavor. I suggest not buying already packaged sandwich meats but buy deli meat. You can purchase deli meat at your local supermarket. So what bring on that refreshing crunch when you bite into a sandwich? You guessed it. The vegetables. This step does not have to be exact, you may choose to opt out this step as well. The vegetables that are commonly used are romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. Most of my sandwiches include those vegetables but I tend to add cucumbers, red onions, and some avocados. The last bit you will be needing to add more flavor to your sandwich are the condiments you can choose from things such as mayonnaise or

Importance of Research in Education

...the arts in the curriculum! “The greatest scientists are also artists as well.” –Albert Einstein Kathy Morrison Art and science are intrinsically linked—the essence of both fields is discovery. Artists and scientists function systematically and creatively. Their knowledge, understanding, and outcomes are explored in hands-on studios or high-tech labs. In classrooms for all ages, integrating science and the visual arts offer children the latitude to think, discover, and make connections (Alberts, 2011). • Young children are also natural artists (Althouse, Johnson, & Mitchell, 2003). Most are delighted to participate in open-ended art activities, dramatic play, singing, and dancing. Young children paint, sculpt, sing, or dance in their own unique ways. They want to be involved in the visual and performing arts, to try new things, and to experiment with the familiar (Pinciotti, 2001). For young children, the process in science and art is much more important than whatever product may result (Stivers & Schudel, 2008). The fundamental science process skills for early childhood are to • • • • • observe, communicate, compare, measure, and organize (Sarquis, 2009). Art and science are intrinsically linked. Scientists and artists typically observe life from somewhat different perspectives: A scientist generally takes things apart for study before bringing them together in solutions, while a visual artist interprets beauty and creatively combines media to communicate...

...BURGER KING® IN MALAYSIA In 1954, James McLamore and David Edgerton opened their first BURGER KING® restaurant in Miami, Florida. These visionaries had extensive experience in restaurant business and a shared belief in the guiding principle of offering reasonably priced quality food, served quickly, in attractive, clean surroundings. Our Vision today honors their original vision. When America was introduced to the signature flavor of the Original WHOPPER® Sandwich in 1957, it was selling for only 37 cents. It was an instant sensation and immediately became our flagship product. Today the WHOPPER® is world renowned for its flame-grilled taste and the many ways customers can order it to their liking. The great success of the early restaurants made the BURGER KING® concept a franchise success. The concept spread rapidly throughout the 1960s and in 1963 the first international franchise restaurant opened in Puerto Rico. While the vision for the BURGER KING® brand hasn't changed over time, our restaurants have. The early BURGER KING® restaurants distinguished themselves from others by their self-serve ordering and outdoor patio seating. Burger King Corporation pioneered dining rooms in the fast food industry when it began to enclose its patio seating in 1957. For the first time, fast-food customers could comfortably eat their food at a table inside a restaurant. Burger King Corporation demonstrated its innovation again in 1975 when it began to offer drive-thru service at its...

Starbucks

...STARBUCKS By Patricia L. Boyd BA 2430 International Management Professor Jeff Walls January 30, 2011 Summary Three Seattle entrepreneurs started the Starbucks Corporation in 1971. Their prime product was the selling of whole bean coffee in one Seattle store. By 1982, this business had grown tremendously into five stores selling the coffee beans, a roasting facility, and a wholesale business for local restaurants. Howard Schultz, a marketer, was recruited to be the manager of retail and marketing. He brought new ideas to the owners, but was turned down. Schultz in turn opened his own coffee bar in 1986 based on Italian coffee cafes, selling brewed Starbucks coffee. By 1987, Schultz had expanded to three coffee bars and bought Starbucks from the original owners for $4 million. He changed the name of his coffee bars from Il Giornale to Starbucks. His intention for the company was to grow slowly with a very solid foundation. He wanted to create a top-notch management by wooing top executives from other well-known corporations. For the first two years, Starbucks losses doubled as overhead and operating expenses increased with Starbucks' expansion. Schultz stood his ground and did not sacrifice long term integrity and values for short-term profit. By 1991, Starbucks' sale increased by 84% and the company was out of debt. Starbucks brought back founder Schultz to lead daily operations in 2008, closed hundreds of stores and cut jobs. It reemphasized training for...
