Dalman and Lei are both pleased with Sandwich Blitz, Inc past performance. They both still feel a little upset that they aren’t able to devote more time to focus on other things within the company. Reason being they are focusing on smaller issues at the existing locations. Sandwich Blitz is operating under the traditional work environment. With the traditional work environment managers plan and determine everything, people work alone, cross-training is viewed inefficient, and most information is management property Bateman & Snell (2013). In the new team environment things are different. Managers and team members jointly determine and plan work. Cross training is the norm in the new team environment Bateman & Snell (2013). At Sandwich Blitz everyone should be crossed-train just in case someone doesn’t show up for work. You will always have a backup if everyone is crossed trained. Also in The New Team Environment everyone works together and rewards are given based on performance and contribution to the team. Working in teams at Sandwich Blitz would contribute a lot to the organization. According to Divol & Fleming (2013) a lot of responsibility on our managers because it's really up to them to help their people determine the right balance. The manager, supervisor, and team leaders should be working together with opening and closing procedures, making sure all associates are working on assigned tasked that are given. Front of the house employees should be working together to make sure every customer a serve in a proper and appropriate manner. Front of the house team members should also work together as a team to make sure the appearance of the front line is neat and clean such as the lobby and restrooms.

The biggest STRENGTH of Sandwich Blitz is that they have the resources to open two additional locations if good locations can be found. Another strength would be, that they have the staff to move to these new locations. This also allows for low level management to get involved in the marketing of the new expansions. A major WEAKNESS of Sandwich Blitz is that due to the recent economic downturn, the larger park offices have been affected and this could affect business because people are probably not shopping in these areas too much. They would probably have to come up with cheaper menus and do specials to attract business which could be costly. I am going to use three criteria in my assessments of these representations to determine a judgement of which is ‘best’ for describing the reaction of civilians. Representation 1 is not complete in it’s analysis of the civilians reaction as it fails to mention certain key points. One would be that there is no mention of any civilians showing high spirits for the Blitz, this article for example, shows the vast amount of devastation, disenchantment and suffering caused by the Blitz but they all had to continue with their ordinary lives and bounce back as quickly as they could in order to restore their homes and I am aware that people ripped up their fences for the use of metal to construct planes to support the soldiers, however there is no mention of this at all in Representation 1. Another key point would be that there is only mention of bombs and the ruin they caused however there is no mention of evacuation of children and how it affected the families in the process or how many people had to ration throughout the Blitz in order to survive with the little amount they had. Representation 1 is not objective as the author (Craig Stewart-Hunter) is clearly trying to break the idea of positivity. ...When first reading "The Destructors", by Graham Greene, one might think they are simply reading a tale of childhood mischief. However, like all valuable stories, there are deeper connections that must be made in order to understand the author's motives. "The Destructors" tells the story of a gang of kids who aim to tear down an old man's house. This is a bit disturbing; it is not something most kids would spend their free time doing, and starts to give the idea that the story is a depiction of something greater. Indeed, as we will discuss, Greene is using his characters to portray a microcosm of post-war Britain. Specifically, Greene targets two central themes within this microcosm. The most important is the transition of attitudes over generations. We will see that this transition is a harmful one, and this is due to Greene's second concept of the destructive nature of mankind. The combination of destructive tendencies and this transition provides the reader with the story's ultimate message: human attitudes are nearly impossible to change over time, and war can create a cascade of destructive generations to come. To establish this message, Greene employs the use of an allegory. The story itself is not just representative of the words on the page, but something much more important. In this case, characters may be symbolic of particular people in society, but more accurately, the view into the character's lives as children is symbolic of what they will become as adults.
