” During this time her youngest son had down syndrome. Sarah Palin saw this as an opportunity to speak out about her thoughts on abortion. She had rallies and interviews where she explains that she is pro life. She believes that every life is important and that abortion is murder (Palin, 183-185).
Life was difficult in the Palin household. But she believes that with her family, hope and time she made it through her hard times (Palin, 99). No matter how popular or successful Sarah Palin got, she was just a normal person, with family problems. The novel as a whole really illuminates how beautiful and tragic America can be. it shows raw emotions of Sarah Palin and how she believes that other citizens felt through these difficult times.

She thanks her friends and family for rooting her on in writing her book. She states that she could have not written parts of the novel without the veterans, and past and present patriots who she believes are the true heroes.
