LEARNING EXPERIENCE

It’s a very good opportunity for us to correct or evaluate our self how capable we are to adopt new changes or interested to learn the things in real or actual working conditions. When we enter the organization the atmosphere itself teaches what we have to do and what are all the duties and responsibilities.
In mother diary, I was thought how things work in organization, how the decision-making is done and on what basis. I made a survey on customer satisfaction towards nandini products and identified the need and wants of customer towards nandini products.
In mother diary co-ordination between the various milk unions and various village panchayat and among the employees creates a confidence among the employers which is very helpful in decision making and building a good future to the organization and carry out the business in right way.
Uniformity which is very essential elements that management should maintain among there employees and outlook of an employee will also create an impression on the minds of other about their taste, preference , values and principles.
Punctuality and honesty are the other important thing that i learnt in the organization.
And I have learnt from mother diary that it’s the only government organization has delivered to its customers effectively and efficiently without compromising on the quality of the product with all difficulties like power failure and shortage of water.
I was thougth how to handle a situation when there is trouble in the business operation and how to overcome from it.
Finally I had a practical experience of real world organization and how things works in the organization.

Impact of Slr Reduction

...money in Government securities (G-Sec), because they're more safe and convinient than the other two. ------------------------------------------------- What happens if SLR is decreased? * Earlier SLR was 24%, but on last day of July, RBI changed it to 23%. * That means, if earlier SBI had total Rs.100 Deposited in all its 11,000+ branches, then SBI would have to park Rs.24 in G-sec but with new RBI rule, SBI will have to park only Rs.23. * Meaning SBI can take away Rs.1 from its G-sec investment and use it for giving as loan to regular customers. So, SBI will sell G-sec worth Rs.1 from its suitcase and use that 1 Rupee for lending as House, Car, Business loans to the customers. * SBI has one more rupee to lend to the customers, it'll reduce the interest rate (to seduce more customers). Thus Interest Rates go down when SLR is decreased. * In real life, 1% decrease in SLR, means SBI alone will have additional Rs.10,000 crores for lending * And all the banks (SBI, ICICI, Bank of Baroda etc combined), will have more than 68,000 crores for lending. * Now the reverse: If SLR is increased, then banks have less money to lend = they'll charge more interest rates on loans to keep the profit margin...

Non Performing Assets

...RECOVERY OF NPA STATUS AND CHALLENGES IN THE INDIAN BANKING SYSTEM EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Non-performing Assets means a loan which has been classified by a bank or financial institution as substandard or loss assets. According to this default status would be given to borrower if the dues are not paid for 90 days. Asset Classification: * Standard: are the ones in which the bank is receiving interest as well as the principal amount of the loan regularly from the customer. If asset fails to be in this category i.e. amount due more than 90 days then it is NPA and NPAs are further need to be classified in sub categories. i) Sub-standard: the account holder comes in this category when they don’t pay three instalments continuously after 90 days and up to 1 year; ii) doubtful NPA; iii) Loss Assets: under this 100% provision is made. When account holder comes in this category their account can be written off by the banks. Types of NPA: * Gross NPA: reflects the quality of the loan made by the banks. * Net NPA: reflects the actual burden of the banks. The main reason behind NPA would be lack of proper enquiry by the bank, wilful defaulter, change in government policies etc. which could affect the bank by restriction on flow of cash by the bank for sanctioning a loan, drain of profit, bad affects on goodwill, etc. There are different acts and institution for the NPA recovery like SARFAESI ACT, 2002; SARC; ARC; DRT; Lokadalats; etc. Current...

...period last year. S Chandrasekharan, executive director, UCO Bank, told NDTV Profit that the bank was not planning to take up any major restructuring this year. “Our focus of the year is going to be retail advances,” he said. Profit this time has been lower than expectations, falling 23 per cent sequentially. What led to the same?   Yes. The pressures were mainly because of the slippages. We expect around Rs. 840 crore this quarter, and otherwise if you see year-on-year profit, it is much higher than what it was. We could make 22.3 per cent year-on-year from Rs. 907 crore last year to Rs. 1109 crore this year. Only on quarter-to-quarter, the profit has come down.  Credit and deposit growth have been a bit sluggish, and consequently your loan-to-deposit ratio (LD ratio) has inched up. Any pressure you are facing on funding side?   No. There is no pressure on us. We took a conscious decision of not accepting bulk deposits this year. The deposit growth as per the industry is 6 per cent. We even did not take any bulk deposit last year as there was a 32 per cent growth in bulk deposits this year (This doesn’t read right. Last year…this year…). The credit (deposit) has gone up to about 16 to 17 per cent. We don’t see any pressure on liquidity. How were the net interest margins (NIMs) during the quarter? Your current and savings account ratio (CASA) dropped in the third quarter. This time how did it pan out?   The CASA has improved as compared to last year and one good thing is...

In order to evaluate the options available to him, he has obtained the interest rates for a bank loan from SBI and ICICI Bank. Project Financing Project financing is done by a business through the procurement of a loan from the bank using sponsors and syndicate banks as references. The loan which is received by the business owner is also called as a bank term loan where the rate of interest and the term of payment to be made is constant or fixed. The business owner has the ability to obtain a loan based on the projected cash flows which are mentioned in the business model.
