Never Lose Sight of Reality Forged by fire is an amazing book by Sharon M. Draper. It’s one of those books that make you want to cry , jump through the book yourself and hurt the bad guy. With these little details I just said I bet you’re thinking “This book doesn’t sound so good.” But boy are you wrong. This story teaches young readers as myself a very valuable lesson. When you read one of her books you can picture almost every detail. It makes you feel like you’re there in a corner watching the scene play out. This is how her story Forged by fire brings out certain emotions. While reading this story you’ll feel sad , happy , mad , then happy again and then mad. That’s why her books are so good , she likes to leave you with just enough information to get what she …show more content…

Her books are the real deal in a fiction form , it’s kids out here who go through the struggle everyday and are fighting for their lives once they get home. It’s also kids and families who go to bed hungry because their parents either can’t afford food or doesn’t care enough to feed them. Gerald and Angel got beat by Jordan all the time with no help from their mom because she was just as scared as them to stand up for herself. This situation explains the most famous situation most people are in, they can’t escape a bad situations because of fear. This is why we shouldn’t talk about others because we never know what a person could be going through at home. The only way Gerald and Angel escaped reality was to play basketball and dance. They found a strong love for those two hobbies to leave reality for awhile. She was telling readers who are going through things at home to find a love in something instead of harming themselves or
