Aleng Patolina: Ahh! Ang sakit na!
Aleng Piyang : Nagkakamali ka,Mareng! Kamabl sila kaya dalawa ang katawan!
Aleng Mareng: Anong kambal? Tatlo man sila!
Aleng Piyang: Edi triplets! Yeheeey!
Patolina: Bakit,anong sinabi niya anak?
Lala: Sabi niya baliw daw ako. (Nakasimangot)
Patolina: Lily!
Baliw lang an makakaisip nun.
Huwag magbulakbol!
Lala: Ano po ang bulakbol? Makakain po ba yun?
Lily: No. Bulakbol means pakacutting classes.
Lala: Ano daw,Lulu?
Lala: aaaah! Ganun pala yun!
Patolina: Sige umalis na kayo mga anak. Andyan na ang school bus.
Lulu at Lala: Babye nanay!
Patolina: Bye,anak!

Teacher: Ah,sige tama. Class dismissed, you can take your recess.
Lala: Uy! May basa na bote ng Tanduay! Hehe! Yeheeey!
May pula!
Lala: Anong menopause? Yung meno at pinose sa Facebook?
Lulu: Anong Facebook? Yung mukha na parang libro?
[Nadatnan sila nina Mauricia at Lily sina Lulu at Lala]
Lily: Anong meron dito? Bakit ang ingay niyo? At bakit may sugat ka?
(Ginagaya ni Mauricia ang sinasabi ni Lily)
Lulu: Yeheeey! Lily,nireregla na ako!
Lily: Anong regla? Sugat lang yan, bobo ka talaga
Lulu: (Nalungkot) Ay,ganun ba?
Lily: Hali na nga kayo! Baka ako pang papagalitan ni nanay nito eh!
Lala: Ahhhh! Magpapaiwan ako dito, baka maunahan pa ako ni Mauricia! Ibebenta ko ‘to kay Bigo!
Lily: (Hinila si Lala) Shut up!

Kayong tatlo!
Lily: Salamat,nay.

Research on violent television and films, video games, and music reveals unequivocal evidence that media violence increases the likelihood of aggressive and violent behavior in both immediate and long-term contexts. The effects appear larger for milder than for more severe forms of aggression, but the effects on severe forms of violence are also substantial (r = .13 to .32) when compared with effects of other violence risk factors or medical effects deemed important by the medical community (e.g., effect of aspirin on heart attacks). Pitch 整理

Sales Pitch Samples In this blog post we will try to outline some sales pitch samples to help you get an idea of how to develop your own sales messaging. But before we start to look at what to do to build a good sales pitch, let’s first talk about some things to try to avoid. Avoid Product and Company Focus One trap that we can naturally fall into is talking mostly about our product, service, and company when delivering our pitch. There are a couple of challenges with this. First, when you talk primarily about your products and company, you are talking in a very “all about me” frame. This can be an approach that is less attention grabbing and also one that does not foster strong relationships. Another downside to this type of sales pitch is that if the prospect is not in buying mode, they may hear your product and company details and think “So what?”. Avoid all of the Details Another trap that we can easily fall into with sales pitch samples is to go into way too much detail on what we are selling and do. You sales pitch needs to be short and sweet, yet still very powerful. Sometimes less is more. An Alternative Approach Now that we outlined a few things to avoid, here is an quick solution that you can use to resolve and avoid both of those. Focus your sales...

This version tries to do the same, but several enhancements have been made that will interest those teaching more advanced courses. I have come to appreciate the power and usefulness of gretl’s powerful scripting language, now called hansl. Hansl is powerful enough to do some serious computing, but simple enough for novices to learn. In this version of the book, you will find more information about writing functions and using loops to obtain basic results. The programs have been generalized in many instances so that they could be adapted for other uses if desired. As I learn more about hansl specifically...

...Research in Education Unit, AIDS Project Los Angeles; and Department of Criminal Justice, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa Alcohol use is correlated with unprotected sex, which may place young men who have sex with men (YMSM) who use alcohol with sex at increased risk for contracting HIV. However, little is known about how this link develops. This study used qualitative interviews to explore how alcohol became associated with sex and sexual risk among YMSM. We purposively sampled 20 Black and 20 Latino YMSM (N ¼ 40), ages 21 to 24, who used substances (alcohol, marijuana, and crystal methamphetamine) with sex. Interviews focused on participants’ personal histories to trace how these associations developed for each individual. Drawing on sexual script, emotion regulation, and alcohol expectancy theories, analyses followed a modified grounded theory approach. Participants stated that alcohol enabled them to engage in sexual behaviors with men that they wanted to try, allowing them to be...

Literature

...Beso, Luiz Miguel B. BSE EN 2-1 Literature Students are asked to write literary analysis essays because this type of assignment encourages you to think about how and why a poem, short story, novel, or play was written. To successfully analyze literature, you’ll need to remember that authors make specific choices for particular reasons. Your essay should point out the author’s choices and attempt to explain their significance. Another way to look at a literary analysis is to consider a piece of literature from your own perspective. Rather than thinking about the author’s intentions, you can develop an argument based on any single term (or combination of terms) listed below. You’ll just need to use the original text to defend and explain your argument to the reader. Allegory - narrative form in which the characters are representative of some larger humanistic trait (i.e. greed, vanity, or bravery) and attempt to convey some larger lesson or meaning to life. Although allegory was originally and traditionally character based, modern allegories tend to parallel story and theme. William Faulkner’s A Rose for Emily- the decline of the Old South Robert Louis Stevenson’s Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde- man’s struggle to contain his inner primal instincts District 9- South African Apartheid X Men- the evils of prejudice Harry Potter- the dangers of seeking “racial purity” Character - representation of a person, place, or thing performing traditionally human activities...
