In the short story called Gay written by Anna Quindlen talks about a young boy who is homosexual. The story begins with the child who decided to tell his parents the truth because he was going to die. He is affected with H.I.V. and wanted to share his secret with his parents before his spirit lifted. The parents were so upset, and they never spoke about what killed him, and no one had asked. With other relatives, they would not like their children to be different from them. Even if they are gay or just different. The message that the author gives out to the parents has a child who is gay is not the end of the world. It is who they are, and there is nothing that we can do to change it.
