Collegiate athletes should receive a minimum salary yearly for the hours of training, and how much they bring in revenue for their colleges and universities. Professional athletes today make an outstanding amount of money for running around, jumping, tackling, and knocking people out. The “minimum wage” for a professional athlete would be around one hundred thousand dollars per year, which in many cases is a healthy amount compared to other working citizens. Do these athletes receive too much money for what they do? Are they worth the millions of dollars they make for playing sports? There are many different arguments for these questions, but one question that should be asked is, how many of these professional athletes skipped out on going to college for a few years to better their education, just to make the big bucks?
