Elizabeth Olson’s “The Latest Entrepreneurial Fantasy Is Selling Cupcakes,” is a brief account of the different kinds of cupcake businesses that are opening up and the startup. This article questions whether cupcake bakeries and the respected owners make enough profit. Different types of bakery businesses are mentioned such as: the chain, the web-only store, the cupcakes and more store, and the sole bakery. Alongside with these types of bakeries, there are interviews of people and how they decided to enter the business, business plans, income, and the profitability. The hours and money invested to start these bakeries are mentioned and further explored proving how difficult it is.

4) Reflection:
Reading this gave me a whole new sight to the cupcake business. Just like any business, there are a lot of things to be done and thought of. These people mentioned in the article come from different socio-economic backgrounds and take the plunge into following their dreams. Not only is that daring and courageous, it is also seen as foolish. The cupcake enterprises are long hard work from working 80 hours a week to having no vacations at all. Cupcakes must be different and eye catching to attract customers, but that isn’t enough either. The taste must ‘knock your socks off’ and relish you for more. Independent businesses to mainstream businesses operate differently such as: the kitchen to bake must be rented or being able to get a company to vouch

...the Mexican War, and not reestablished until 1861 for the Civil War. On July 3, 1862, Maj. Gen. J.E.B. Stuart's Confederate cavalry fired rockets at Maj. Gen. George B. McClellan's Union troops at Harrison's Landing, VA. This was the first recorded use of rockets in the Civil War. Later that year, British-born Major Thomas W. Lion used rockets against The Confederates defending Richmond and Yorktown, VA. The rockets were fired by the Union Army's New York Rocket Battalion. There were 160 men under the command of Major Lion (Ibid, 2). “The only other documented use of rockets is at Charleston, S.C. Maj. Gen. Alexander Schimmelfennig found rockets ‘especially practical in driving off Confederate picket boats, especially at night". As a sidelight, Burke Davis wrote the book Our Incredible Civil War. In it he tells a tale of a Confederate attempt to fire a ballistic missile at Washington, D.C. The missile was fired from just outside Richmond, Va. The missile, 12-foot-long, solid-fueled rocket, carried a 10-pound gunpowder warhead in a brass case engraved with the letters C.S.A. It was ignited and seen to roar rapidly up and out of sight. I knew the whole time I was suppose to be following their story and not what the other characters were doing in the background. Being in a thrust stage, and having the top of the pillars in the way, I understood that lighting the show would be a more difficult task. The designer took that most of the first act was going to be happening mostly downstage and kept that area lit where whoever and wherever the actor stood in this spot could be seen from the audience by all sides. I noticed many of the actors in this play wore big. wide hats, which I would think be a difficult task to overcome to be able to see the actors’ faces, specially since there was no way to direct sidelight or uplight. But the designer was able to still manage to light up the features on the face, where you could directly see any emotion written on the face. The designer was able to keep the focus on certain parts of the stage when needed. For example, when act two started there was little to no light on the downstage area, it was all directed to the platforms in the upstage. I felt the designer gave the right amount of light to show mood, visibility, angles, etc. to the set and acting that was given to him to work with. The first Act to me was. in my opinion, hard to tell when a cue change happened.
