As he states at the beginning of the book,”It was a pleasure to burn.” He soon realizes that his “happy world” isn’t so happy when he meets Clarisse McClellan and she asks “Are you happy?” After viewing The Truman Show and reading a majority of Fahrenheit 451, many parallels can be drawn between the characters of Truman Burbank and Guy Montag.
