...o e-mail o voice mail o Web conferencing o Digital work flows (or business process management) c) Electronic commerce - business-to-business electronic commerce (B2B) or business-to-consumer electronic commerce (B2C): o internet shop o supply chain management o online marketing o offline marketing 1. Introduction to Voice over IP Voice over IP (VoIP) is a family of technologies, methodologies, communication protocols, and transmission techniques for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as the Internet. Other terms frequently encountered and often used synonymously with VoIP are IP telephony, Internet telephony, voice over broadband (VoBB), broadband telephony, and broadband phone. Internet telephony refers to communications services—Voice, fax, SMS, and/or voice-messaging applications—that are transported via the Internet, rather than the public switched telephone network (PSTN). The steps involved in originating a VoIP telephone call are signaling and media channel setup, digitization of the analog voice signal, encoding, packetization, and transmission as Internet Protocol (IP) packets over a packet-switched network. On the receiving side, similar steps (usually in the reverse order) such as reception of the IP packets, decoding of the packets and digital-to-analog conversion reproduce the original voice stream. Even though......

Sarasin. “They choose to save money by eating at home but they also believe, overwhelmingly, that the food they eat at home is healthier than eating away from home. It is clear supermarkets are positioned to help their customers save money and help them make healthier choices when it comes to food." According to the FMI report, shoppers are spending an average of $99.90 weekly on groceries, up 1.5 percent compared to last year’s average of $98.40. The three top reasons for choosing a primary store are: Price (75 percent); high-quality fruits and vegetables (73 percent); and items on sale or money-saving specials (67 percent). With saving money at the top of their minds, consumers are buying only what they need and seeking the best value for their money, says the FMI report. They are also using money-saving tactics such as making a shopping list, researching sales, collecting coupons and comparing prices across store formats before going to the store. Once at the store, they are......

Looking at Luxury

...white, black and gold (Chanel, Tiffany, Burberry, Asprey, LV). Gold brings chromatic brilliance to every space, resonant of the sun, iconic of luxury. “For me, metal is the architecture of our time. It enables architecture to become sculpture” (Frank Gehry in Ojeda and Pasnik, 2003 81). The use of gold and ribboning reminds me of the Issey Mikaye Pleats Please store in New York with its 25 foot tall sculptural ribbon of flowing titanium. 4. Experiential interiors: screens and interactivity. Thirdspace. Digital. Spectacle. The flagship store acts as the material expression of the brand that offer a place of seduction and desire. Bond Street is quite literally an ‘economy of icons’ (Sternberg 1999) where brands are enshrined in exclusive spaces. Flagshipshopping a key pursuit in global fashion cities. We saw a very visible tourist presence. The flagship store emerged as a highly prominent spatial manifestation of the brand. Flagships are a brand-management and marketing device. Their purpose is to enable the customer to feel and experience the brand and emotionally bond with it. For shoppers, flagship shopping in itself is less for purpose and more to look, see and be seen. For the retailer a flagship store serves to showcase the entire brand story to the consumer under one roof and to make use of all the tools available to highlight the brand statement and philosophy. That shopping is spectacle, theatre, performance and performativity (Goffman) is nowhere more......

Sustainability Motto of Coca Cola

...Coca Cola Report Introduction Coca- Cola is one of the very well known brands operating in FMCG sector. The drink which has quenched the thirst of so many people around the globe was invented by John Pemberton a pharmacist by profession and most commonly called as “Doc”. He was assisted by Frank Robinson in the marketing of the product. The company was totally in mess until Asa Griggs Candler took over the business in 1891. Secret of Coca Cola’s success is the innovative marketing strategies of Grigg which laid the foundation for the success the company is enjoying today. Initially the drink was sold as a medicine for the treatment of fatigue and headaches. Later, with the imposition of tax in 1898 on all medicines, Grigg categorized it into beverage sector after a prolonged court battle. Ever since then, Coca-Cola is operating as one of the well known brands in beverage industry. In 1919 Candler was chosen as mayor of Atlanta which made him excessively busy because of this he decided to sale out the ownership of the company and Ernest Woodruff became the new owner in September 12, 1919. He changed the formula of the drink and labeled it as New Coke. Unfortunately, the drink was rejected by the consumers and with no option left Woodruff had to introduce the old Classic Coke back for meeting customer demands. According to Business Insiders Coca Cola is a brand with which 94% of the world’s population is familiar. The company has marked its presence in more than 200......
