Pfizer develops and produces medicines and vaccines for a wide range of medical disciplines that includes immunology, oncology, cardiology, diabetology/endocrinology, and neurology.
It owns the cholesterol - lowering drug Lipitor, which brings in approximately quarter of its revenue and was the best-selling medicine in the world in 2009.
