1. Select a product you are currently interested in buying (either consumer or business-to-business) and use the Internet to make your decision. You may stop short of actually buying the product. Write a summary of your experience and include the various stages of the consumer buying process, the Web site components and other key terms and concepts covered in the reading in your text. Be sure to include your references.

Buyers will typically go through various stages to make the decision to purchase. These stages occur in varying degrees depending on the complexity of the purchase and the buyer's behavior. With the rise of the Internet, it has never been easier for buyers to research their purchase. Make sure your small business is in the game by providing educational material on your website. After research is completed, the customer will evaluate all the available options. Options include but not limited to wanted features, pricing, and company credibility. This is the moment when the customer makes his decision to purchase or not.

2. Strictly from memory, write down six commercials or ads you remember seeing recently. What do you remember about them? Do you remember what they were advertising? Did you have an emotional response to any of them? Would they cause you to purchase the product? Write a paragraph or two about each one.

1. McDonald’s Filet of Fish commercial – I don’t remember anything about the commercial except for the jingle. “Give me that fish…” I know that I don’t like fish sandwiches so it didn’t make me want to get a filet of fish sandwich but the jingle is definitely burned into my head.
