• Introduction o School administration and teachers are beginning to implement universal behavior screening. Teachers complete the screeners for each of their students. The goal of these screeners is to identify children who are at-risk of future behavior problems and provide early interventions to prevent future challenges. o Social behavior is a factor that is commonly measured on universal behavior screeners. Research suggests that external behavior problems (e.g., hitting) are easier for teachers to notice in the classroom compared to internal behavior problems (e.g., daydreaming).
