The company I chose my quality improvement methodologies on is Sony. Sony is best known for producing the popular gaming line Playstation. Sony doesn’t just build Playstation consoles, but also different items from TV’s, radio’s, home appliances, headphones, etc. Sony’s philosophy is to provide customers with high-quality products and high quality services. Sony established “The Sony Group of Conduct”, established in May 2003. To reflect changes through the years, they revamped it in April 2012 and called it the Sony Pledge of Quality. This move was aimed at reinforcing awareness of Sony's commitment to ensuring that the quality of its products and customer services exceeds the expectations of its customers around the world.
Based on the Sony Pledge of Quality, management implemented measures to improve the quality of its products and services. Sony appointed a Corporate Executive in charge of product Quality and Safety to improve the product, customer services, and ensure that timely responses to problems is met. The have appointed numerous Quality Officers within each business section to supervise the quality and safety. They have created a framework for promoting business initiatives to ensure Sony’s products comply with pertinent laws and regulations. Sony even obtained a certification under ISO 9001 for all sites manufacturing electronics. Sony has created mid-term and fiscal year targets for the quality of and customer service related to all Sony products.
Sony has strengthened the rules worldwide to ensure top notch product quality and safety. When they receive information about issues, they ensure that there is a prompt follow up. Customer feedback to improve its products and customer service, helps Sony to keep their Pledge to Quality. To help Sony with better customer support, the created customer websites for submitting concerns, and with the growth of

I like Xbox better because of the game variety and cool features. People argue anywhere from which company is better to the controllers. This controversy has been going on ever since the PS3 was released. The biggest arguement is about the online play. Even though Playstation is free, it has some disadvantages compared to Xbox. According to IGN, Playstation has a smaller game variety compared to Xbox. PS3 also gets downloadable content later than Xbox. For a year of Xbox live it is sixty dollars. I think it is worth paying for online because Xbox has more features. One key thing that Xbox has is party chat. Party Chat allows you to talk to all your friends while they are playing different games. On PS3 there is still messaging friends but in order to talk to them both of you have to be playing the same game. As I mentioned earlier the PS3 has a less game variety than Xbox.
