GRANHAM’S HERO GOES TO ROME

Born and raised in Granham, Minnesota, Jimmy Doyle goes to Rome for a 17 and under tournament to represent the United States. Doyle has had many spectacular basketball performances in Grranham’s past. He has a tough life through it all though. Doyle helps his mom run a hardware store. His father had

perished while working in the store from a heart attack when Doyle was only ten years of age. His mother and he have run the store ever since then. Doyle will go to Los Angeles to practice for a week and then head to Rome on a plane, where the single elimination tournament will be played.

TEEN DREAM TEAM WINS FIRST GAME

Teen Dream Team U.S.A. won their first game in the tournament over the Swedish. Up by 25 at the half, the game was in the bag. Jorge Gonzalez blocked a half dozen of shots, while the big man, Shawn Wright, made dunk after dunk

with the help of his teammate Jimmy Doyle. Teen Dream Team U.S.A will be facing the Germans next in Round 2 of the tournament. “The Germans are huge and will be very physical for us” said Coach Griffin.

HALF-TIME BRAWL TAKES U.S.A TO THE SEMI-FINALS

After a fist fight broke out between Augustus LeMay and a German fan, Teen Dream Team U.S.A led themselves to a third round game for a chance to go to the championship game. Jimmy Doyle was hot tonight and was not sat down in the second half ‘till the game was in the books. “Despite all the fighting in the first half, the game was really clean. I was really surprised at how good of sports the Germans were,” said Jimmy Doyle. The United States will play Cuba for a chance to go to the Championship game.

Dear J., This kid from Minnesota took Devonne’s spot on this All Star Basketball team. He really sucks at basketball. Anyways, he called me an ignorant fool. I hate his guts. You know what I did. I gave him a black eye. He is such a punk. It was our first day of practice. Man do I hate that kid Doyle. All the kids call him Snowman. What’s up with that? Oh well, I just don’t want to get in another fight and have the coaches find out. Good Night.

Dear Journal, I miss home right now. I got punched in the face by this kid that is from Los Angeles. His name is Augustus LeMay. He gave me a black eye for me calling him ignorant. I didn’t go to the press conference; otherwise I would have looked like a goon and embarrassed the team for my eye. When coach came by to ask why I wasn’t at the press conference, I had to tell him I ran into a door. Man did coach not like that. Well I am tired now. Good night.

Dear J., G., Devonne, and me took Snowman for a little ride in where we grew up, the places he hadn’t seen on his tours of L.A. We took him everywhere in that gray van. When we went to Beverly Hills, these cops pulled up and arrested G. and gave coach a call about Snowman and me. Coach was so mad. After our butt chewing, he made us run a whole bunch, and then we got on the plane really tired from it. We finally got into Rome and had practice. I am pooped.

Dear Journal, Augustus and his friends took me for a tour of L.A., the parts that I didn’t see. Augustus’s dad was shot and killed when he was really little. That has to be hard for him; I know it is for me. On the ride, when it neared its end, we started to drive past million dollar housed. We stopped at the end of a street, and the police came and arrested G. They called coach. He was really mad at Augustus and me. We ran lines forever. When I got on the plane, I slept all the way to JFK Airport. I really miss home now. Good night.
