The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is currently hosting an exhibition titled “Alternative Education Art” which features many great artists, one of which is Stacy Maeda. Stacy Maeda grew up surrounded by animals and nature and therefore, her work is significant because of her unique ability to create artwork that captures what is most important in her life. She has nurtured a passion for both art and animals, which becomes evident in her pieces. Animals, especially horses, are most frequently chosen subjects for her detailed, life-filled drawings and paintings. Stacy Maeda has effectively been able to not only depict her images anatomically accurate, but also capture the individual spirit and personality of the animals and call the viewers’ attention
