With the world currently drowning in chaos and uncertainty, it is only natural that our nation be up in arms over incredibly important political issues. Millions everywhere are revolting over extremely serious social injustices. People are clawing at each other's throats on the internet over heinous atrocities that threaten to destroy the very essence of the American way, appalling things like…. paper…..cups?
No, really. That’s what they’re mad about.
Joshua Feuerstein, a former pastor and self-proclaimed internet personality, valiantly took it upon himself to call out the widely popular coffee company, Starbucks, on their new ‘politically correct’ cup designs.
His internet movement entitled “#MerryChristmasStarbucks”, challenges customers to order their coffees under the name “Merry Christmas”, forcing poor baristas everywhere to begrudgingly write the name on the cups. Thus, “tricking” Starbucks into explicitly supporting the holliday. …show more content…
In the video, Feuerstein informs his viewers that the reason Starbucks switched from their earlier cup designs, decorated with snowflakes and ornaments, to the new plain red ones was because the company “hates Jesus,” and wanted to “take the Christ out of Christmas.”
Unfortunately for Feuerstein, Starbucks vice president of Design and Content, Jeffrey Fields, had already explained the motive behind their transition from jazy reindeer decals to a simple cranberry gradient in a press release a whole fifteen days earlier on October 22nd.
