World of Warcraft (or WoW as it is sometimes called) Can be a very time consuming game, players can spend countless hours and make absolutly no progress. While other players can max out their character and progress in to the endgame content. The key to Advancing in your fight across Azeroth, Is to find the balance Between the three major aspects of the game, this includes choosing professions, leveling your character and, And preparing for the future. It makes sence to choose professions that match your charecters class and needs, This allows you to craft items that you may use. However this is not the most logical choice. Choosing two gathering professions (such as herbalisim, mining, or skinning) early on Provides you with lots of gold which can be used for learning new skills, and abilities, and mount riding abillities. Choosing two gathering professions, and selling the materials to other players on the Auction House, will even provide you with enough gold to save for endgame. After you create your character, you start at level 1, But you want to hit level 85, so you can experience all that Wow has to offer. The fastest and most benificial way to level your character is to accept every quest that you can find and complete and turn them in 4-6 at a time, Untill you hit level 10. Once you make it to 10, start doing Battlegrounds. Battle grounds are where Members of the alliance, and members of the horde, Battle for controll, some of the battle grounds require players to capture a flag and return it to their base, other battlegrounds, are fights to the death, or secring areas and killing intruders. Battlegrounds are a great source for gaining experience points, needed to level, as well as Honor Points which can be traded in for PvP (player verses player) gear. PvP gear is special weapons and armor designed for PvP. From level 10 to level 15, Just keep doing Battlegrounds, if you get bored with them, go ahead and do some questing, however if you do you will be slowing down your progress. Once you hit level 15 a new feature opens up, Random Dungeon Finder. From level 15 to level 80 Use this tool to grind dungeon after dungeon. At lvl 60 you can start to Raid as well as dungeons, but finding a good raid group is time consuming, I find it a lot easier and more beneficial to not worry about raids untill later. If you don’t think aboult the future end game content getting to 85 will do you no good, At level 80 it is best to turn off leveling for a while. If you are alliance this can be done in Stormwind City, For Horde this can be done in Orgimar, the cost is 10 Gold. There are a ton of dungeons that can only be done at level 80, and for each one you get lots of justice points, All justice points should be saved until level 85, unless you accumalate 4000( 4000 is the current cap on Justice points). If you feel you have to many Justice Points spend 1900 on a mount in Dalarion. Justice Points can be traded for legendary weapons and armer, That is neccasary in order to defeat Deathwing. After completing ALL the 80 only dungeons turn leveling back on at the same place you turned it off. Form level 80 go to VashI’jar and quest untill you hit level 81, this shouldn’t take more than an hour of questing. At 81 you can do more random dungeons, for gear and JP, or you can quest at Mt. Hyajal. At 82, Moove on to deephelm, At 83 Uldam, and then go back to Random Dungeons untill you reach 85. By the time you reach 85 you should have plenty of Justice points to get a start on your legendary gear, you should have plenty of gold for potions. Now is also a good time to drop one of your gathering professions and pick up a crafting profession, Blacksmithing, goes with mining, leatherworking goes with skinning, etc. Go gather all the mats you can and get your skill level to 525 in your new crafting profession at lvl 85 this can be done in a couple hours of searching. Now you can craft the high ticket items and sell them for thousands of gold pieces giving you virtually unlimited gold. At this point you should have a fair amount of legendary gear, PvP gear and tons of gold. With the ability to make more gold as needed. As you continue to do dungeons and replace your Gear with even better stuff, even more dungeons become availible and the game truly begins. With new dungeons being added all the time and new continents becoming availibl about once a year it is virtually impossible to beat the game but using my stratagies you can play through to the endgame fast and be ready for the new stuff as it becomes availible.

Wow Addiction

...The Way of WoW One of my sad addictions is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (mmorpg) named World of Warcraft (WoW). It has amassed over 12 million subscribers. It has addicted many people, killed a few, and yet married others. But how does one actually start playing this “crack cocaine” of the gaming world. I’ll take you thru the basic ins and outs of starting your addiction in this essay. Yes, this essay is the gateway drug to WoW, and I’ll be your dealer. First you’ll need the actual hardware and software. I won’t go too much into detail here. You’ll need a very comfortable mouse as you will be clicking and moving that little piece of pointer magic until your fingers lose all sense of feeling and they fall off. Then you’ll need to make sure your computer and video cards can handle this beasty! You can easily find the system requirements on the WoW website ( www.worldofwarcraft.com). The next portion is the actual software. There is currently the main game and two expansions, The Burning Crusade and The Lich King, with a much anticipated third installment called Cataclysm which is due out on December 7th of this year. Install all that as well as a few gigs of patches and you are ready to start your “noob” status. Noobs is a terminology used by many gamers to signify new players, or players who don’t know how to play well. The last part of setting yourself up for the technical part of the addiction is to set up a monthly subscription with the software company...

My grandparents would buy me Lego kits and I would have built them within minutes. I am able to build things faster. I am able to build computers that require precise placement. It has lead me to taking computer courses at Bay College. Another advantage to playing video games is that you can meet other people. Since I have been playing video games I have been able to get to know people from around the world the share the same interest in game as I do. A game type that has let me get to know these people is the MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game). A couple games that are this type are World of Warcraft and Rift. A friend that I have met through playing video games is Edwin. I met him when I was playing the game called Rift. League of Legends

...League of Legends (LoL) is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows[1] and Mac OS X. It is a free-to-play game supported by micro-transactions and inspired by the mod Defense of the Ancients[2] for the video game Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. In League of Legends, players assume the role of a "champion" with unique abilities and battle against a team of other players or computer-controlled champions. In the most popular game modes, the goal is to destroy the opposing team's "nexus", a building which lies at the heart of a base protected by defensive structures. Each League of Legends game is discrete, with all champions starting off each game fairly weak and progressing by accumulating gold and experience over the course of the game.[3] League of Legends was generally well received at release, and it has grown in popularity in the years since. By July 2012, League of Legends was the most played PC game in North America and Europe in terms of the number of hours played.[4] As of January 2014, over 67 million people play League of Legends per month, 27 million per day, and over 7.5 million concurrently during peak hours.[5] League of Legends has a large, active competitive scene. In North America and Europe, Riot Games organizes the League of Legends Championship Series, which consists of 10[6] professional teams in each continent. Similar regional competitions exist in China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Southeast...

Business in Baseball

...The pitchers who receive the win and the loss are known, collectively, as the pitchers of record. A pitcher who starts a game but leaves without earning either a win or a loss (that is, before either team gains or surrenders the ultimate lead) is said to have received a no decision, regardless of his individual performance. A pitcher's total wins and losses are commonly noted together; for instance, a pitching record of 12–10 indicates 12 wins and 10 losses. In the early years of Major League Baseball before 1900 it was common for an exceptional pitcher to win 30 or more games in one season with Old Hoss Radbourn of the defunct Providence Grays holding the record with 59 wins in 1884. Since 1900, however, pitchers have made fewer and fewer starts and the standard has changed. Gradually, as hitting improved, better pitching was needed. This meant, among other things, throwing the ball much harder, and it became unrealistic to ask a pitcher to throw nearly as hard as he could for over 100 pitches a game without giving him several days to recover. In the first third of the 20th century (especially after the Live Ball Era), winning 30 games became the rare mark of excellent achievement; this standard diminished to 25 games during the 1940s through 1980s (the only pitcher to win 30 or more games during that time was Denny McLain in 1968, in what was an anomalous pitching-dominated season). Since 1990, this has changed even further, as winning 20 or more games in a single season...

Start over

...Pedro Torres Pj Clark English Comp. 1 December 3, 2015 Start Over I have made many mistakes in my life, from saying the wrong thing to someone or just being an ass, mistakes are common. If I had the opportunity to start over and fix mistakes I have made I would do it in a heartbeat. I would change the time I hurt the people I loved, how I acted and approached high school, and last I would have focused a lot more in staying in shape and doing good in sports. It’s often said we hurt the people we love the most and that couldn’t be more true. If I could go back and change how I handled past relationships I would have the weight of the world off my shoulder. I was a big cheater I literally had a different girl for everyday of the week. I would have sex with a girl then never talk to her again. I’m pretty sure there are some little ME’s running around the world right now. Am I proud of that no, but that’s the life I chose. I also would have changed how I spoke to my mother. Getting an attitude and being disrespectful to the women who did so much for me. I would come late and totally ignored the rules. I would tell her how she was a bad mother and often say things I didn’t mean. If I could go back, I would do good for her. That includes doing what I’m asked to do and doing well in high school. When I was in high school I did not care. I played sports and to stay in sports all I would have to do is not get any F’s. I could get all D’s and go on to the next year without a question...

Psychology of Gaming and Me

...Psychology of Gaming and Me Week 4 Assignment 1 Albert Pettey Strayer University Professor Holt Psych 101 Nov 8, 2012 Through long thought and jotting ideas, I have decided to discuss my favorite hobby… playing World of Warcraft and other MMORPGS. The term “Gamers” is coined frequently to describe someone who plays Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games or in short MMO. World of Warcraft or WoW is something I have enjoyed playing for the better part of six years. Playing this and a few other MMO’s is for me no different than watching TV after work or playing golf, etc. In the following few paragraphs I will cover and share the psychology behind MMO’s and online gaming. Psychology 101 of gaming would have to be social… the ability to interact and be part of a social group is for me one of the alluring points of playing World of Warcraft. Being somewhat of an introvert, online allows me to connect with others with similar likes in an environment that is comfortable for my personality. Gaming can bring about a level of prestige among or between players based on in game ranks, completed achievements, earning titles and other WoW related game activities. These competitive aspects that go along with WoW and other MMO’s can drive the social platform many of the gaming community is based on. Finding just one psychology view point for an MMO and WoW is hard to narrow down. There are many facets that cover a wide range of subtopics. Clinical, cognitive, developmental,...

This I Believe Memoir

...Failing to Success It was tryout day. My heart was beating fast and sweat was running down my face as I approached the starting line. Wait. Stay still. Take a big breath. “Get set…RUN!” My adrenaline rush rose as I began to sprint. The sun was thrashing down my back as my feet pierced the burning, concrete track. With every stride I took, my lungs clasped for air. Everything felt the way it should as I was running at the same pace as everyone else. Half a mile through, I began to notice that most of the girls were about fifty meters ahead of me. They all had passed me. My short legs moved as fast as they could on the last two hundred meters left of the 5k but I just couldn’t catch up. As I came closer to my final steps, my legs were so worn out, that they began to wobble like a bridge in an earthquake. I reached the finish line and collapsed to the ground. This was my first year of high school and it was already not going well for me. I had failed to make the cross-country varsity team, which consisted of the top seven girls from a total of fifteen that had tried out. Mr. Nelson, the head cross-country coach, had decided to choose seven girls from those who hadn’t made varsity to run for junior varsity. Since there were eight girls, one would have to leave the team, so he eliminated me for having the slowest time. We all had viciously tried our hardest to earn a spot on the team by running against our teammates, but I just wasn’t good enough. I considered cross-country...

Methods: The lab was carried out in a fairly wide area so the car could have enough room to move and so that the lab members and other members of the classroom would not step on the toy car or trip over it, both of which could result in injuries. After a long and wide enough area was cleared to carry out the lab, team members were assigned tasks to do during the lab; these tasks included a timer, a car starter, and two people who marked the car’s position. The toy car’s starting position was marked with masking tape and the car was turned on and hovered over the starting point. As the timer was started, the car was immediately placed on its starting position; the toy car started moving.
