This requires approval from the board of directors and shareholders. A corporation whose stock price is really good in the share market could very well use the option of splitting its shares. This action results in issuing supplementary shares to existing shareholders. The most common stock split is two-for-one, in which each share that a shareholder holds becomes two shares. So, if a company had 10 million shares outstanding before the split, it will have 20 million shares outstanding after a 2-for-1 split. Since buyers and sellers of the stock already know about the stock split, the price per share immediately adjusts to reflect the stock split. 2. Its been almost 2 weeks since we've arrived in Korea. 2 weeks here seems really long for me too. In the short 2 weeks, Shir and I have been to so many places, met so many people. But then you realise that Seoul isn't really that different from Singapore. Well there are things I really enjoy though, like taking a stroll in the park, walking around a lot on the streets with my friends, climbing up or down a mountain, just enjoying one another's company is enough. Michelangelo once said; "The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark." This is probably true for most people, but there are still some people out there who have wonderful goals and dreams, which will probably never get to see any of them, come true. I just hope and pray that I am one of the lucky ones! With out our dreams what do we have to live for? When asked what my "ideal life" situation would be, I had no option but to admit that I did not have a clue. But the more that I think about it, the more that I realize that maybe I was wrong, maybe I know what I want, maybe I am just afraid that I wouldn't be able to achieve my goals, But what's the point of goals if you don't have to strive to reach them? If I could have my "ideal job", it would be a High school Teacher, or something along those lines. I really want to be able to help someone in the way that people have helped me. So therefore, my "ideal career" would have to include the opportunity to help Children and Teens. I feel that with all that I have been through, I would be able to help kids because I would be able to relate to them, and know where they are coming from. I personally am very anxious about this class and math in general. I only just finished an algebra class and only received a C grade for my efforts. Therefore, my confidence level starting out in the class is not high. The running start program is very helpful, which I found out much too late. I did not take advantage of this until towards the end of my class, who knows what I may have achieved if I had taken advantage of this resource from the beginning. It is definitely worth the time to check it out, and see if maybe it can help you too. The resource though that I think has been the most help and will help me most in this class are the videos. The videos of instructors actually doing the work, you can watch them at your own pace, pause when you need to, and go back. The math classes are the first time I have had second thoughts about getting my education online this way. I have always thought that I learned better at my own pace in my own way. However, math is a different thing altogether. If you miss one of the steps in the process or do a step the wrong way, your solution is going to be incorrect.
