The employee will be met privately with a manager and/or a supervisor to discuss the incident. The verbal warning will require documentation regarding the incident, date on which the incident occurred, and the corrective action requested. At the manager’s/supervisor’s discretion and depending on the nature of the issue, a second verbal counseling may be given prior to giving a written warning.

• Second Stage: Documented Written Warning including initial employee counseling o A written warning is intended to notify the employee regarding continuous work performance issues and/or inappropriate behavior that have not been resolved after giving the employee a verbal warning. The manager and/or supervisor must implement and document the initial employee counseling to determine the issue, gain an explanation of the continued incidents, and also, must provide available external/internal resources that may assist the employee in resolving the issue. The employee will have a time period of six months for improvement once employee counseling has been initialized. o The required personnel during the initial employee counseling will
