Executive Summary
Noel Gifts International Ltd (Noel Gifts) is the leading hampers, flowers and gifts company with an extensive offering of chic floral arrangements and gifting ideas for the stylish and discerning.
For the past 38 years, the company has been Bringing People Closer with premium quality gift selections for mostly all occasions. Since its inception in 1975, the company began business under the name "Noel Commerce" as a year-end hamper packaging company. In 1982, the company expanded to incorporate a flower business and was renamed "Noel Hampers and Gifts Pte Ltd" a year later. In 1993, the company was renamed "Noel Gifts International Ltd" due to steady growth of the business. In the same year, the company also became a public listed company on the second board of Singapore Stock Exchange, SESDAQ. In 2008, Noel Gifts was listed on the SGX Mainboard.
Till today, Noel Gifts remains true to its core values, and continue living its vision of Bringing People Closer, Making Everyday Better. In this assignment, the business strategy of Noel Gifts International Ltd (Noel Gifts) will be briefly described.
Introduction
Noel Gifts International Ltd ( Noel Gifts) is a company that does hamper packaging, flower arrangement business and providing appropriate gifts for various occasions during the year. Noel Gifts first began in the year 1975 doing only year-end hamper packaging for consumers. Later in the year 1982, the company expanded into flower business and in the year 2008, it was listed on SGX Mainboard becoming a publicly listed corporation. Noel Gifts is now franchising in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang, Jarkata and Bangkok. Noel Gifts have main buildings in Singapore, one building handling administration and another where the hampers are being made by workers. They have also diversify into property diversion in London and Singapore. (Balmoral Crest located in Orchard and The Carribean located at Bukit Timah).
Noel Gifts main product/services would be hampers; flowers & gifts, for the hampers, Noel Gifts have taken over about 40% of the local festive hamper market in Singapore. From the plain looking hamper packaging in the 1980s to the high quality-packed hampers today. They are well known for establishing the pyramid-shaped and traditional hampers with various exciting products and packaging to better provide consumers with attractive gift option for the various different festival meeting their various needs and wants.
Noel Gifts also diversified into floral arrangements and gift packaging, this is cover up the loopholes during the off-peak period in between festive seasons.
The major markets for Noel Gifts would be during festive seasons year round. Festivals such as Christmas, Chinese New Year, New Year, Deepavali, Hari Raya and Valentine’s Day would be the peak period for Noel Gifts. This is because during these few festivals, people would be making orders for hampers to be delivered to various people or companies.
