1.1 Introduction
The first chapter attempt to discuss the background of the study, which provides a general idea on the scope of the study. In addition, this chapter presents the identified research problem and it followed by the objective of the study. Then this chapter will proceeds with the explanation of the importance of the study. The main focus of this study is about student’s satisfactions towards facilities and services provided by College Poly-Tech Mara Kuala Lumpur (KPTM).

Satisfaction is a function of relative level of expectations and perceives performance. The expectations may go as far as before the students even enter the higher education, suggesting that it is important to the researches to determine first what the students expect before entering the university. Based on Ibrahim a, Ab Rahman b, M.Yasin, et al., 2012 stated that services quality is an important factor in the education and training and has received significant attention.
Education and training institutions need to ensure that the services provided will give the customer a positive impression. Getting feedback from customer towards service provided is a must to ensure the quality of services can be managed. The feedbacks received are very useful for evaluation and improvement. Now days, measuring student satisfaction in educational sector is compulsory.
