...RINGKASAN Mustika Kelana. 99 053 188. Studi Fluktuasi Kebutuhan Oksigen Kimiawi Pada Siang dan Malam Hari di Perairan Teluk Manado. Dibimbing Oleh Ir. James J.H.

... in his own image. In the image of God created he him male and  female created he them.” Bible: Proverbs Chap 3:3 “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table ofthine heart.”      The process of creativity in the Universe can be further illustrated by the Tai – Chi Tu or the Chart of the Supreme Ultimate.  The non-ultimate is neither perception nor non-perception.  It is above existence and non-existence which through movement gives rise to the Supreme Ultimate.  The Supreme Ultimate through movement generates Yang (positive).  When the activity of Yang reaches its climax, it becomes tranquil, and through its tranquility generates Yin (negative).   As a result of further unification of these two forces the five elements of water, fire, wood, metal and earth prevail.  When these five material energies are distributed in harmonious order, the four seasons run their course.  Thus the five elements constitute one system of Yin and Yang.    Though the Supreme Ultimate generates Yin and Yang, the Supreme Ultimate is essentially the Non-Ultimate.  Through a mysterious unison of the five elements, the reality of the Non-Ultimate and the essence of Yin and Yang, integration ensue an action through which all things are initiated.  The chart of the Supreme Ultimate has a break-up of 12 eras.  Each era lasts for 10,800 years.  A complete chart has a duration of 129,600 years.    In the first era, sky is created; 2nd earth and 3rd...

Dan Scott

...Dan Scott Paul Johansson * Influences * Family- Dan’s parents seem to be harder on him than his brother Keith. They always pushed him to be better at sports especially basketball. His wife was an alcoholic and a drug addict, once tried to kill him in his car dealership by drugging him and the lighting it on fire. He has two biological sons and only cared about the younger one, most likely because he married his mother. His older brother, Keith, was more of a father to his older son, Lucas, than he was. People in Tree Hill seemed to like Keith more than Dan because Keith was friendlier to people than Dan. * Friends- Dan didn’t really have any friends because he was rude to everyone. Even his workers hated him, and his children, wife, brother, and Karen, the mother of his first born. * Environment- Tree Hill, North Carolina is a small town; everyone knows everybody and knows everyone’s business. In the show One Tree Hill, Dan becomes mayor after running against Karen in season 3 and shortly after Deb, his wife, flees Tree Hill after Lucas tells her he knows she is the one who set the fire to try to kill Dan. * Defense Mechanism * Repression- Repression is the defense mechanism that removes anxiety-arousing thoughts, feelings, and memories from ones consciousness. An example of this defense mechanism used in One Tree Hill is Dan was jealous of Keith, and in the third season there was a school lockdown, one of the students brought in a gun...

Fonderia Di Torino S.P.A.

...Fonderia DI Torino S.P.A. Teaching Note Synopsis and Objectives The managing director of this specialty foundry must decide whether to approve a major investment to automate part of her plant’s production process. The case presents information sufficient to build cash-flow forecasts of production costs incremental to this investment. Discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis reveals that this investment project is attractive but that the benefits hinge on important assumptions about the plant’s business volume, the manager’s ability to lay off workers over the objections of a labor union, and the hurdle rate. The case may be used for the following: • Introduce students to mechanics of DCF analysis of go/no-go capital-investment decisions. • Consider the principle of incremental analysis as the foundation for identifying relevant cash flows for a project. • Explore the classic tradeoffs in capital-for-labor investment. • Review the analytical adjustments that are required to compare projects of unequal lives. Suggested Questions for Advance Assignment to Students 1. Please assess the economic benefits of acquiring the Vulcan Mold-Maker machine. What is the initial outlay? What are the benefits over time? What is an appropriate discount rate? Does the net present value (NPV) warrant the investment in the machine? 2. What uncertainties or qualitative considerations might influence your recommendation? How, if at all...

Dan knew that Pat was very interested in purchasing a home and approached Pat with a proposal to assist Pat in buying a home. Dan told Pat that he would help Pat with the financing. After finding the home she wanted to buy for $250,000, Dan and Pat orally agreed that Dan would purchase the home and "when you come up with the money, I (Dan) will sell it to you (Pat) for $250,000 plus a fair commission to be determined." Dan purchased the home identified by Pat and the following week Pat moved in and began living in the house. During the first six months after moving in, Pat installed new carpeting, window coverings and a patio cover at a cost of $8,000. Pat also mailed to Dan a check for $1,000 each month, with a note enclosed with each payment. In each note, Pat asked Dan, "tell me what a fair commission is….I want to finalize our deal." Dan cashed the checks each month, but failed to respond to Pat's notes. Eleven months after moving into the home, Pat received the half-million dollar installment check. Pat immediately went to Dan with a check for $275,000 and asked Dan to convey the property to her according to their agreement. Dan refused to accept the check and ordered Pat to move out. If Pat brings an...

Evolusi Perusahaan Mnc Di Hongkong Dan Singapura

...Munculnya dan evolusi perusahaan multinasional dari Hongkong dan Singapura * The emergence and evolution of multinational corporations from Hong Kong Introduction Although the origins of Hong Kong-based MNCs can be traced(ditelusuri) to the British colonial period and Hong Kong’s position as an entrepôt(gudang) for trade in South East Asia and China, indigenous (adat) Chinese firms(perusahaan) based in Hong Kong emerged(munculnya) as MNCs in the early 1950s, thus reflecting(mencerminkan) a longer history by comparison to MNCs from Taiwan and South Korea whose emergence(muncul) can be traced(ditelusuri) to the early 1960s. Hong Kong has grown to become a significant home country(negara asal) of FDI(foreign direct investment) with an outward FDI stock of ,$154.9 billion in 1998, or some 3.8 per cent of the global stock of outward FDI. Indeed, it had become the world’s tenth-largest source of FDI in that year based on the size of outward FDI stock after the United States (with a share of 24.1 per cent of the global stock of outward FDI), United Kingdom (12.1 per cent), Germany (9.5 per cent), Japan (7.2 per cent), the Netherlands (6.4 per cent), France (5.9 per cent), Switzerland (4.3 per cent), Italy (4.1 per cent) and Canada (3.8 per cent). In fact, Hong Kong is almost as important as Canada whose outward FDI stock was $156.6 billion in that year.
