Life is a constant exercise in self-improvement. And while some of that focus lands squarely on becoming more educated or rising in the ranks of the workplace, sometimes we forget to improve how we treat ourselves and those around us. In the rush to achieve, the idea of being “better” becomes lost to ambition and selfishness. The journey to improving your soul and your compassion toward yourself and others begins here.
Often times we go about our days, interracting wih dozens if not hundreds of people along the way, barely acknowledging their impact on our lives. A simple greeting confers honor and acknowledges the other person’s presence. It sets a positive tone, put people at ease and wishes them well. You never know when your acknowledgement may be the only positive thing that happens during someone else’s day. Your friendliness also invites other to acknowledge and be friendly to you in return. A real life lesson of the importance of acknowledging others has been for Diana the reason to change attitude and behave in a way based on this very simple but very important principle. Diana has always been this ambitious human being that had made several sacrifices only to ensure a high-ranked job at an advertising company. She was an workaholic which would work on a 24/7 basis. Whenever a friend would come over, she would never offer her undivided attention as she was busy replying emails or working on a work proposal. Her friends , one by one, started to withdraw from her as she has never really been there for them. She might have succeeded in her work but socially she was – at best – inadequate. It was New Years Eve when she found herself isolated in her apartment with noone to spend her night with. She had then realised how wrongly she was behaving and had finally stepped up to save her social life by a simple act of acknowledging her friends and their impact to

Study explores the potentiality and sustainability of EPZ as a development strategy in the context of linkage with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and its benefits in a competitive environment. An understanding of this subject is important for at least four reasons.Firstly, government spends part of its limited budget through fiscal incentives to subsidize EPZs. This is a revenue loss to the governemnt, and such budgetary impact have implications on other government development programmes. Secondly, though EPZs strategy may look impressive, it may be constrained by the level of competiton created by liberalization, therefore, identifying challenges and limitations facing the regime in the competitive environment encouraged by free trade regime is important to enhance its sustainability.Thirdly, there is evidence elsewhere that it is mainly cheap labour and excellent infrastructure but not fiscal incenntives that attract export-oriented FDI.A proof will provide a lesson and new experince in the context of this study.Lastly, Tanzania experience on EPZ has not been explored enough partly due to the newness...

The paper starts by assessing what luxury was and is today and how and why it has evolved so far. It looks at Mass and Intermediate luxuries and then discusses three models to assess also Inaccessible luxury. The three models specifically developed by the authors are: 1. The Tangibility of Luxury, 2. The Spectrum of Luxury and 3. Brand Identity of Luxury.
