- My novel notes are thorough/well done is because I was able to annotate on the author’s tone throughout the book. His tones are gloomy and dull as he uses them to narrate the post-apocalyptic world. Even in the most anticlimactic scenes, his dispassionate voice is evidence which shows the unflinching and straightforward consequences of the apocalyptic disaster.
