In Kathryn Schulz’s essay, “Evidence”, many similarities were used to describe the effects that evidence has on opinions and actions. In the beginning of Schulz’s essay, evidence was questioned during the witch trial case to find if the evidence would be found permissible in court or not. The court allowed the “evil spirit visitations” to be used as a testimony in court, as evidence, even though there was not any hard, or any real evidence that the accusers were actually witches. In the witch trials the evidence that was use were based on feelings and fear. The court used feelings and fear as evidence because they simply didn’t have any real evidence and that feared what they could not explain. Also in the essay Schulz expressed that “what
